Gas Block Torque Value

So I bought a Dissapator upper and have removed the barrel to use on a carry handle upper. I had trouble breaking the barrel nut loose. I’m removing the gas block to replace the barrel nut and wonder what to torque the gas block screws at. Thanks.

@GuitarGuy might be able to help you out
@blueridge1 :grin:

Is the barrel dimpled? I have never used a torque wrench on gas blocks. I tighten until they are tight. Even with just hand tight you can get them tight enough they wont loosen.

Don’t use “Gas Patch” tight; “As tight as you can get it and a quarter turn past that.”

Assuming it’s dimpled for location.

Im guilty of hand tight as hell. Well almost hell lol

Quite possibly a dumb question to a bunch of y’all but what size screws are in the gas blocks for PSA? Are they mil-spec? 10-32 x 3/16 knurled? I can’t find the replacements on the website anywhere.

Sorry I’ve already reinstalled mine so I don’t know. I suspect Josiah could probably find out the size for you.

Trying to figure it out for my son. He boogered one of his up on removal.
