Well I got greedy the other day and ordered 4 of these lowers. I am really hoping for sequential number lowers. Every time I have ordered multiple lowers at the same time they will be a few numbers off from each other and not sequential which is very frustrating. I really wish that PSA would offer that service even if I had to pay extra for it. Set a box of sequential numbered lowers to one side and draw sequential lowers from that box or section. I like my son and I to have sequential serial numbered lowers. I don’t know if is possible to easily pack sequential numbered lowers but if it is then why not offer it as an additional option? I know that I am not the only one who buys lowers a few at a time as many of my friends do also. I would gladly pay more for being able to obtain sequential numbered lowers.

It’s simply too difficult with the volume they sell. The guys pulling orders are pulling from a large box that was packed by someone else, and not necessarily in the consecutive order.

I understand the volume issue. It really would be nice though when the lowers are coming off the assembly line to pack one box consecutively and offer some lowers in consecutive numbers. I can’t help it. It is the collector in me that is always looking for something that you normally don’t get. I really would pay a good bit more for the opportunity. I really don’t think that I would be the only one. I haven’t seen the manufacturing process or the packing process so it is hard for me to visualize and understand. For all I know there may not be consecutive numbered lowers coming off of one line. I do get the size of the operation that PSA has and the sheer number of vendors that supply products to PSA. I pray that Lady Luck will for once shine apon me. Josh said that it was luck of the draw so maybe this time my luck will have improved.

The only reason that consecutive serial numbers aren’t being offered as an option is because not enough people have created market demand for the service.

If uppers are engraved with serial numbers in numeric order, then what you’re asking for is easily attainable. People just have to be told to pay attention to this detail during manufacturing and distribution. The only reason that what you’re asking for could not be attainable is if a random number generator is used to select the serial number for engraving, which would render consecutive number picking impossible. That does not seem likely.

I have seen how PSA makes lowers (i.e. have been in the manufacturing plant). Multiples at a time are made, multiple laser engravers going at the same time. With the volume they make, they would have to add several additional employees to pack things consecutively. Like everywhere else, they are constantly on the search for new employees to fill the current openings they have. Ain’t no way they are going to be able to add more just to do consecutive numbers.

I’ve noticed that you offer definitive answers in a lot of threads. do you represent PSA in an official capacity? in most of your posts you seem to be speaking as if you do.

I am one of the 4 volunteer mods on the forum. I do not work for JJE Capital, PSA, or any sister company. Being a mod means i (along with the other 3) have regular contact with PSA employees.

Good to know, thanks. I didn’t recognize any sort of moderator title. Is that what the little shield is for? I’m new on the forum and I’m still learning the ropes. Thanks.

If you hover over the shield the “mod” descriptor will show up.

Yes, that is what the shield is. Most of the PSA guys have “psa” in their names. The 4 volunteer mods are myself, @GamecockOperator , @SuperPredator and @Waffenbauer . If you ever need anything feel free to reach out to one of us.

Hmm. Maybe I should change my title back to moderator to reduce confusion
