Shot my new GF5 today and it ran great. I think I’d like to add either a prism like one of the Primary Arms or a Romeo 5. Any particular QD rails that are known to work well with the PSA AKs? The two I’ve seen online at PSA are either forward bias or rear bias and I’m not sure which would work best, but open to any of the available options elsewhere.

I use a PA 3x prism on my 16" AK. It needs to be rear biased because of the FOV.

Wondering if this is part of the handguard mount or for when stock is folded? Never noticed it before.
I would understand if you said rear biased for eye relief, but what does it mean to have it rear biased for FOV?
@Coolwin1776 I admit I don’t know what that little black thing is. It feels under spring tension. I have several questions about the rifle that the basic manual doesn’t address.

Yes it is. Its for a normal folding AK stock. His has a b5 which is different and won’t use that notch.

The PA prisms are designed to be closer to your eye. Their factory mounts that they ship with (which are acog compatible) become more rear biased the higher you go. Here is mine.

I picked up a Midwest Industries mount today at a LGS and will try to attach it later today, then try my LPVO on it.
I have a general question about my AK. The PSA product description says “contains the following Romanian parts from a vintage parts kit.” Does this mean my parts are used, or just production parts that were never installed? I assumed they were used given what looks like significant wear on the bolt/carrier.
Should be surplus parts. Your AK was likely test fired before it left the factory.
