Good things that happened (blessed thread)

Every day is a blessing  brother.
@GamecockOperator

Amen @Jammo

That is awesome brother. I’m very happy for you all. And don’t get caught up thinking things are Petty while we talk about the good things. That was the point of this thread. We can all be happy and talk about the good things no matter how big or small they are. If anything we are Petty When We complain about the bad things. We have to have some joy in our day

I was honored to be asked to hang some blinds and a couple of pictures for a friend whose husband was killed on his motorcycle in a traffic accident a few months ago. One of the pictures was of her husband decked out in his Christian motorcycle group attire. RIP Brian.

you’re right of course. we are blessed, and it was a blessing for sure. some days i like to remember the good things of waking up alive and somewhat healthy each day!

@ltrly sorry for the loss of your friend.

I’m sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Brian. Ride with the angels

Thanks guys.

I got sent extra ammo one time and just couldnt have been an accident. If it was it was a giant one. Not sure what i did to deserve that but I am very thankful

The land appraiser got back with my attorney today on his evaluation for the piece of property I’m attempting to get a easement across.

Good news is that we are on the same page, or close enough anyway.
Hopefully the Judge will agree.

Thank you my friend.
Keep those  coming.

Had something similar but opposite happen to me with PSA. They sent my order to someone else and his to me. Both had the other’s packing slip inside. He had called me (Honest people are hard to come by these days.) PSA let him keep the extra ammo and I got a refund and a discount code for my next order as I had to pay shipping twice. Discount code was well taken advantage of.

Great news, and a long time coming. Good for you.

Thanks Robert.

Yes sir a long time coming, 3 years next month. Now I was down sick most of that time but it’s always on my mind.

We had a court date for tomorrow actually but the land owner finally got a lawyer so just waiting on a new hearing.

I’m 99.9% confident in the outcome so now it’s just more waiting.

Really thank you again @ltrly

had a great thing happen. after a lot of beaurocratic bs bad…

my meds were being messed up by insurance again not approving them with the standard prior authorization, and after 5 years being on the same meds… they suddenly were changing everything… and denying them… (thats the cliff notes) spent hours on the phone trying to figure it out with CVS, My Oncologist, and My Express scripts who manages my insurance. long story short, all my doctor had to do to get my meds prior authorization done and working again, was to fax in a new prior authorization, and make sure they made it plainly obvious that we were requesting pills that were tablets, and NOT capsules. once that happened… CvS was able to fill my medicine in full quantity as prescribed with my insurance finally covering it as they have the past 60 months without issues.

that is great to me so i wont be in withdrawl. but i tell ya, i hate insurance

Man I wish you would have said something.
I’m sure some of us here have already experienced what you just had to go through.
I spent 17 years in insurance myself.

@GamecockOperator

I’ll remember that.

it was really stupid. the same meds ive been on for 5 years, and they were like nah you gotta have another type… then they didnt know or have that type and no one carried it, and they wouldnt fully approve the script for all 270 pills just 120… the prescription was written for 270 tablets, but the prior authorization evidentially had gotten confused cause even though my dr office said they had put it through for tablets too, the express scripts said no they put the first prior authorization in for capsules instead, which was wrong… so it took like a 6th person and my wife at 6pm yesterday to figure out that all they needed to do supposedly is to resubmit the prior authorization again, and make sure it clearly was stated it was for tablets… then Express Scripts would approve everything and i’d be fine.

it made no sense whatsoever, but it did fix the issue strangely and now im back to no worries, so im happy, got my meds, and all is well for the large price of 13.00 with my co-pay.

I’ve seen that same scenario a hundred times, unfortunately.

Express Scripts is a (PBM) pharmacy benefits manager so they “control” the flow of RXs

damn… it sure is a pain. i think something like this has actually happend again before in the past to me, but i just dont completely remember if im right.

Probably so @GamecockOperator

The way it works is ES being the PBM job is to save the plan administrator money.

The administrator is whoever you have your insurance through.
Together the set up parameters of what drugs are allowed or not, or a step process to try cheaper drugs first.
The administrator can override any parameters at any time. They don’t have to at all especially really expensive patients drugs (cancer).
I’ve never had a client refuse any drug that was medically necessary.

Enough of my rambling
I’m here if you have any questions.
