Good things that happened (blessed thread)

Okay guys I’m going to let this thread rip. We have a rant thread, this will be the good things thread. So feel free to post up anything good that happened throughout the day. Any good news you may have gotten. Anything that made you happy today. Any thing you are thankful for. Etc and so forth…

It can be big or small.

Here is my first one. And it’s a little silly. But I am genuinely thankful for PSA and the dagger. The longer I have them the more thankful I am for them.

Because… When I train, I train with ALL my guns. When I buy a holster, it fits ALL my guns. When I buy a weapon light, it fits ALL my guns. When I buy a laser, it fits ALL my guns. When I buy a fancy colored spiral barrel, it fits ALL my guns. When I purchase spare magazines, they fit ALL my guns.

If someone kicks in my front door, if someone attacks me in my truck, if someone robs me while walking down a sidewalk. No matter where I am and what gun I grab it will be MY gun. The gun I grab will be the one I train with, sleep with and travel with. It will be a PSA Dagger.

I’m thankfull for that.

Outstanding idea!

Ok great idea by the way.

I am thankful that my Oncologist appointment and lab draw today went well. My numbers are not going up regarding the cancer, and overall im in a great well maintained situation currently according to my Doc… Hes happy with what he saw with my numbers and i’m happy that he’s happy.

I had a second Dr. appt today, with my family doctor, and my family doc says im doing great on my 6 month check up from being put on blood pressure medicines. I’m thankful i dont have to have any more and that my blood pressure is stable. He also has signed off with the ability to pick out a motorized scooter for me once i pick one out. He said he’d approve the paperwork, and send it into the insurance and sign off on everything… so i’m thankful for that too. It will make me be able to do distance more, cause i cant walk distance or carry anything, so this will help considerably with it… for instance, now wiht the scooter, i can actually go to a Gunshow again, or the state fair, or any other big venue with a lot of walking, and not have to rely on someone pushing me in a wheel chair.

I’m also thankful for my Mechanic / Friend who’s working on my car, he has been trying to finish it this week so i can finally bring it home after a year and a half of being worked on.

I have a lot to be thankful for. but mostly I’m thankful that the cancer hasnt taken me, and I’m still alive, and relatively healthy so that i can know you guys, and interact with you guys. I’m VERY thankful too that the guys at PSA have supported me throughout this fight with cancer. Josiah Jamin, and the crew at PSA are amazing guys, and I am very thankful for them. Just as I’m thankful for GuitarGuy, Superpredator, & waffenbauer. Those three guys have been an important team to support me emotionally and mentally throughout the fight as well. I dont say it enough to them, but they’re a special group of guys, and I am extremely thankful to have them in my life. One of them was even such a dick to me when i was in the hospital he woudl come by just about every other day for 2 and a half months straight while i was in there just to keep my spirits up…

I’m thankful for my family too. Without them I flat out wouldnt be here anymore.

I think i’ve rambled, but its true… i do have a lot to be thankful for.

I’m beyond Blessed each and every day I’m able to wake up to another day.
Get right with the Lord!

Thanks for this thread my brother @California_Refugee

Myself as well brother. I remember coming out of the ICU @ 20 and the dr telling me I had the heart of a 55 year old man… Me? “Oh really? Kiss my ■■■!”

My aunt has made a successful move from one state to another. She has retired and has moved near her kids and grandkids. Very happy for her!

Good news for the @thlee43 household.
Tony’s wife had successful knee surgery and is doing well.

Doctor took me off of insulin last week.
Changes in my diet are helping.
Docs also changed one of my liver anti rejection meds that was costing a fortune.

Blessed, grateful and thankful for answered prayers :innocent:
Get right with the Lord.

Received the insurance renewal for my side by side buggy and my premium decreased.
I also have 75% of my deductible waived.

Another day another blessing

*** Update.
Yesterday my wife picked up my new prescription and my monthly cost is going from $137 to $9

Another day another blessing

Good news my man. More money for AAC

glad to hear of the blessings sir…

i woke today, as healthy as i am… and I’m thankful for the opportunity to work and live the day.

I might have mentioned this before on here. I use it less often today than I use to in the past.

When people (usually in the morning at work) say
“Hey how’s it going” or something to that effect.

I reply “Great! I woke up breathing, anything thing else is extra!”

They get a strange look and think I’m being sarcastic and/or rude, etc. When they ask “what do mean by that”

I mean this…

We are creatures of earth.
Every creature begins the day waking up.
That’s all you are owed, nothing more.
If you woke up, you made it. You’re alive!!!
If you drink something, thats extra.
If you eat something, that’s extra.
Shower? Extra.
Job? Extra.
Someone hugged you? Extra…

All you are owed on this earth each and every day is to wake up breathing. Anything above and beyond that is extra. Some could even go further and claim you are not “owed” even the right to wake up breathing. Catching on?

no i get it. i used to say to that sort of question that i woke up above ground still so thats a good thing… i dont think the folks understood what i meant cause i got a lot of the same screwed up faces.

“Woke up above ground”
Wow, my dad used to say that to people when I was a young kid. I totally have forgotten that from my memory. That just reminded me of something that was long deleted from my brain

My attorney emailed me yesterday to let me know that he filed a petition with the courts for my suit seeking a easement for my 20 acres !!

I bought this basically sight unseen because I wasn’t able to physically walk the property I relied on maps.
Anyhow I was diagnosed in January 2021 bought the property in July 2021 and hopefully fingers crossed we will be granted access soon after 2 1/2 years.

I would love to build a small cabin for my wife and I so she will be OK after I’m gone. If not a cabin we will be happy with whatever we can afford. I could always sell 5 acres to raise some capital

Another day another blessing
Get right with the Lord

Beats the alternative

Amen.

Update.
The Judge has assigned us a court date for next week. Unfortunately my attorney may have to reschedule for next month :rage:
Positive - at least we are making progress.

Man I’m going to have soo much to do that even thinking about it all is wearing me out.
But I know that it will all come together and everything will be alright.

To blessed to stress :grimacing:

heres some good things, although they are kinda petty.

last week, my mother in law was able to buy a dream car for her/and i. she got a 2024 camaro convertable that i posted about in another thread.

well last friday my wife and i were also able to replace her 19 Acadia with a 24 Traverse, that she has been wanting to get ever since she heard they were re-designing them. she probably had the first one in the whole greater columbia area, as we were the first folks to go see the car at the dealership the day it was delivered, and we bought it the next morning. Thanks to the dealer for letting her know it wsa there, and to God for allowing us to be successful enough to pay for such luxary things. We are very blessed to be able to afford nice things like this.

I would also say im very blessed as today, my wife came home from a mid-week trip to Jefferson City Missouri to visit her grandmother who is 96. Her father and her flew out on wednesday past, and then arrived home today at 330… Im very blessed they made the trip without any issues, and are now both safely home after having a great visit with her grandma. I’m of course still blessed to be doing well in my fight against cancer, and have been able to keep the cancer well managed for this long so far. I pray i can continue to do so, and that i’ll be able to have many more years this way. I have more blessings than i can count for, so i say to them all Thank you.
