OK, I haven’t had my rifle for 2 weeks yet, only 2 trips to the range, and I can’t stop buying stuff. Got a discount on a grip and stock from my nephew (had to get rid of the mil-spec rattle they call a stock). Have 5 more mags on the way with ammo (PSA bundle) to add to the 7 mags with the bag (PSA bundle) that I already bought, plus 200 more rounds. Just mounted a new 1-6x24 LPVO on it and adjusted the eye relief. A cheap bipod to help with zeroing it in. I have a trigger on the way and a sling with a new light mount to go with my new light. Between tools and other gadgets, mounts, etc. It’s starting to add up. Now I need to get a new charging handle so it’s easier to reach with the LPVO attached. BTW, I have 500 rounds through it and not a single flaw, it runs perfectly. I hope I didn’t just jinx myself. It is evolving fast. I’m loving this thing.
nice, now you need one in .300BO, 308, 9mm, 22, etc ![]()

You have Black Rifle Disease. Welcome to the club. There is no cure.
PSA has this on Black Friday:
https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-custom-ar15-ambidextrous-charging-handle.html
OR, if you’re a Budget-ey kinda fellow-Huperson, there’s this:

Once diagnosed with Black Rifle Disease you have to live with it, there is no known cure @Earthling
This forum is a therapy group, however we don’t encourage you staying on the wagon… People on here tend to encourage the vice…![]()
When I bought that first 45 I was satisfied, I told myself she would never leave my side…
Then I spent a couple weeks thinking about that M&P that I had to buy… Because each gun I buy gives me a certain kind of high…
Now psa knows me by my first name because I buy all of their supply, I use to have some money saved but then I saw that sweet looking ar15… Oh why did I buy, now I have 5 m&p’s and that beauty Springfield armory…
I think I need some help I can’t stop thinking about carbines oh no oh why I can’t stop browsing online stock and daily deals of palmetto state armory ![]()
Ok I’m done lol
We’re “Enablers”.
It’s some days worse than that, even…
If we had a 12-Step Program, six of those would be “Buy another Gun”.
For me, it stopped after the first complete lower.
Then I saved up awhile. And it started again, with a complete upper, and a rifle bag/magazine deal.
Then, it stopped again. For a time.
You can infer the sole reason for stoppages. It’s not my will, that’s for sure.
6? You mean 13.
If you have a Spring and a Detent touching in your Spares Stash? You will have another AR in your collection. Bank that!
I have 2 springs touching in my night stand dump tray. I feel that’s reason enough for another upper, at least.
Invest in steel alloys and lead before you need a wheelbarrow of FRNs to pay for something! I think that’s step 6 of 12/13.
Is that an A2 muzzle device on that rifle? borrrrring,
tehe tehe tehe ![]()
I read that like a poem for some reason
Hey Bernie, have the “I will survive” beat playing in your head if you do read it again:. ![]()
If it stops you just buy your next one and repaet the process.
There will be no stopping at this point…not sorry for your luck. if I ever wrote a book about the “sickness” I’d call it the “Proper Care & Feeding of your AR-15” since the expense of the piece itself is only a minor part of the overall expense of owning one. Part of the reason why I don’t have multiple calibers of AR’s is the rabbit hole of new mags, new ammo, new cleaning stuff, and on and on and on…
