Every company is filled with bull excrement when it comes to marketing, PSA included. If I believed every msrp price psa put out and every “limited” sale price?
Heck, they just out the full size tx22 combo back up for $80 more than before. They can pound rocks. I guess they’re hoping people are that desperate to go brttt. I’m happy to wait out the greed.
And no background needed on uppers, just serialized parts. Hence my point of I can have one AR15 Lower and shoot multiple calibers, semi auto or bolt action with only that initial trip to the FFL for that actual lower.
I current have three lowers and 5 uppers between 5.56 and 22LR. If I were to entertain hunting I’d be inclined to give the BCA 350 legend bolt action upper a shot unless I found a great deal on a complete rifle.
perhaps so. . but what it costs to manufacture is different always from what they list it as msrp. lots of times what psa puts out for both their products and others, are sometimes below even manufacturer price, because of volume and bundle dealings.
yeah different stock comes in at different times from different suppliers at different prices too.. so that is why somettimes you see prices go up and down like we do.. not saying thats their reason but saying that from m y experience in managing retail stores that is one reason we had when that happened. I’m like you, i price shop for my wallet, the lowest price gets my $ and i try to not impulse buy.
I guess i wasnt understanding what you were saying about the uppers versus lowers and serialization. originally cause i thought you were saying that uppers were serialized for some reason.. so thanks for clearing that up.
my ocd doesnt like it when i have an orphan upper laying around looking for a lower to live on. it needs its own lower to be complete.. unfortunately for me that doesnt exactlymean i have a lot of free space these days either though.
Well then their distributor sucks since sportsman fulfillment jist sold through at $329 with free shipping. Still think it’s BS to blame the distributor. Spent way too many years in retail, and I know this industry is a little different, but name me one retail that won’t take extra margin whenever they can. They’re not in it for our benefit in the grand scheme.
So if you have been in retail then you know their are different distributors and different store specific items and if the distributor goes up then you go up.
If PSA sells out at a certain price and Sportsman got the same deal from a similar distributor but didn’t sell out…then they can offer at a lower price than PSA was able to do a second restock via the distributor.
