Remoting in to the PSA forum from Boston. @Simple_Man and I took our families up here to cheer on our Clemson Tigers vs Boston College for the weekend. Starting it off right at The Green Dragon bar, birthplace of the planning of Paul Revere’s ride and haunt of the Founding Fathers.
Very cool. Enjoy and travel safe. Post pics of anything cool.
@California_Refugee we are doing the Freedom Trail tomorrow. Eating at the oldest restaurant in America tonight.
too cool man. im envious. i’d love to have tagged along just for the history side of things. be safe and yall enjoy your mini-vacation.
Bahhstun
Very cool
Union Oyster House
You are paying for the name, history, and ambiance. Food is overpriced, portions are small, but the beer selection is good.
The oyster bar was decent.
Yeah. My oldest got a Lobster roll. I was thinking $30 or so based on other prices…nope. $41. Its a “been there, done that” kind of place.
Go Tigers, how many $2 bills ya bring?
Go tigers.
Go eat and drink at the oldest continuously operating tavern in the United States
It’s right there by Union Oyster House
Bell in Hand Tavern. Much better than the Union Oyster House
Wordin Hall is a must for brunch
Shenanigans Bar is good local bar for pub food with Smithwicks on tap
If you get to Little Italy, eat at Mama Maria’s
Wordin Hall
Bell in Hand was packed last night. May try it tonight.
Cool pics. Have fun up there. ![]()
I was visiting the “cold” Samuel Adams two weeks ago today! We were visiting family in New Hampshire and took a quick trip down from Portsmouth. We also found one of the best** Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to in Malden MA called Golden Garden. It isn’t the “traditional American” Chinese so you’ll probably want them to help you order ![]()
** I don’t say that lightly having been friends and roommates with Chinese for many years.
I may have some of that RIP around here somewhere.
Thanks for posting your travels with us.
