Update… So, I’m pretty (like extremely) pleased with my new PSA AR15, and Athlon Talos BTR scope. I’ve been shooting with my buddy Phil for 40 years, and I’ve never met a better natural shooter and coach. He helped me zero at 50 yards, 100 yards, and then worked me through the basics of the Strelok Pro ballistic app, which had me on target at 300 yards, first shot. We proceeded to plop 20 rounds into about a 5” group on steel. With a little more time on this rifle I hope to keep it in 3-4 inches. As for the Athlon scope, I’m very impressed. 4-14x44 FFP, illuminated reticle, side focus, etc. The turrets are crisp and adjustments seem to be accurate at different ranges, glass is clear, reticle is sharp. My bud has been using an Athlon 4.5-27x50 on his Bergara .22lr for a while and loves it. Admittedly it’s a nicer scope than the one I have but I’m happy with it especially for under 3hundo.

Noice! Happy face photo- there is nothing like that feeling! CHECK YOUR SCREWS EVERY MAG. ALL OF THEM. Rings stretch, things seat in, they will get loose if you don’t check em! Use red loctite for bases (bolt guns), blue for rings. Get a torky driver from amazon. $25. check yer sht! Saves ammo and frustration. Rings- I use 3 or 4 Weaver steel rings on REALLY big stuff cuz they don’t move with grip paste or glue. Monstrum 6-bolt (tripple-lock) with grip paste or glue for lighter stuff. Heck- I even got Monstrum 4-bolt (double lock) rings on my 50Beo full custom build I did in the shop back in '16 and they are rock solid after a LOT of abuse dirt cheap and ME proof, that’s saying someting. Nice shooting good job have fun be safe. Boom- ping!

Good man! The ping sound is addicting. But let her cool down and check yer screws as per above. Loose screws are the #1 cause of shifting zero, frustration and wasted ammo. Even high $ stuff needs checking. After a while it’ll settle in, and you can check less. But- still check 'em! Enjoy the PING! Weeeee!
Sorry…forgot to state…glue of choice? A lil dab Shoe-Goo on the rings works a treat. After 24hrs., It’s water and shock proof. Shoe-Goo fixes everything! lol

Kastaway, took your advice and swapped the Geissele trigger out of my 80s era Colt and into the PSA. Put the Colt back to stock. Nice two stage 4.5 break. Looking fwd to the next trip to the range.
Extends the life of my heelers dog booties tremendously, seat covers on motos, you name it! Shoe-Goo fixes everything. Nice moto’s. here’s mine.
