How do I remove the Scar like stock on the Jakl Rifle to install a different type?

Are you talking about the F5? If so it should just be simple allen key clamp like most other pic rail stocks.

Are you planning on selling the F5? If it is FDE i’d be interested depending on price. Thanks

F5, not Allen key

Guys, no buy/selling on the forum.

Sorry about that, didn’t know that.

no problems. we find its just less liability for us right now. maybe one day in the future, we’ll see.

Just an update for anyone reading this.

I just got my lower with F5 stock on it. To remove the stock just unscrew the hex screw where the buffer threads are. Then you just pull it off, be careful the rear takedown pin spring/detent are captured by the stock. Once removed you’ll need to purchase the 1913 pic rail adapter from PSA or any other manufacture, install it and you can run any pic rail folding stock.

Huh?

I thought the F5 Stock attached to the JAKL specific picatinny end adapter that I turn sits where the receiver extension/buffer tube would normally be?

Negative the F5 has its own adapter that comes with the stock. It does not attach to pic adapter.

thats good to know. thanks for sharing the info

Does the 300 blackout with brace have a standard 1913 folding attach that could be used with a different stock. For example if I wanted to add the JMAC SS would I need to buy it with the 1913 folding adapter or would the folder from the brace work?

i believe that it does if it has the triangle pistol brace on it.

Thanks for the quick reply- it did come with the brace, worst case I’ll have to order one separate.

I bought my Jakl last week so I’m still waiting on it to ship.

You probably need to buy the folding adaptor also. @Simple_Man has the jmac as his stock after SBR’ing. He might can help you out.

I’ll check mine this evening to see if it will mount up. I think they both mount with one bolt so it may be possible.

Update: So it is possible to attach the jmac stock to the brace folding adapter. All I had was the hardware for each adapter. The jmac adapter and stock uses a larger tapered bolt than the brace does. When I attached the stock to the brace adapter the bolt didn’t fit flush and would not let the brace adapter lock all the way back. I will say that I could have easily made it work with a little grinding, drilling or hardware change. With all that said, I would still suggest getting the jmac folding adapter. It is built a lot heavier than the brace adapter and at the end of the day you will still have a functioning folding brace for another pistol.
