Sister Beatrice (Kristina Tonteri Young) - Painfully Accurate

without a digital leash was nice back in the day… unfortunately itll never again happen unless we visit the apocalypse.

I’ve never been through self checkout. If they don’t have a lane open with a checker, I just walk away.

I always figure if I’m not invited to the company Christmas party, I’m not an employee. Thus I’ll let an employee do the job.

I love the “checkers” hovering around you to make sure you don’t steal too much.

Then the A.I. camera overhead sees you struggling to get some pos to scan, and alerts the “checker” through their cell phone that you’re stealing a candy bar or something, or puts it up on the “big screen of shame” in the middle of it all.

Last time that happened, I let them know with graphic language exactly what I thought of their A.I. The guy spluttering to defend his Clanker OverLord was absolutely Classic Comedy!

Clankers are everywhere nowadays. Here’s a tragic story of a local policeman who drowned last week:

By all accounts, he was a great officer, not yet jaded and corrupted by the very nature of the job.

Read through the comments. It’s some of the most viley-racist, yet non-sequitur one-liners, all made in a startling volume, probably by throwaway accounts. Bots.

People commenting about the “southern racism” but not referencing any particular post are either full of it, or most likely “counter-opinion” Bots - none of them are Moderated; which tells me that Fox is likely paying someone to run them to generate “engagement”.

I also work (and practically live) in that specific area, and interact with the people in the community every day; my father’s family is from Rogers, been there since the end of Reconstruction. It is not a reflection of it in any way - not even during the Jim Crow era.

This was quite possibly the most interesting and important interview Mike Rowe has ever conducted:

It’s listenable; run it at 1.25 speed if you don’t have the full 1:45 to devote to it. It might actually change your perception of the “people” you interact with on the internet. Particularly in comments sections of news agencies.

I prefer them over some half asleep clerk. I am 10x faster.

One doesn’t get corrupted by the nature of the job. One gets corrupted because of the lack of integrity of the person.

The comments show the downfall of our Republic. The “I didn’t get my kookie” morons have been on the biggest act out [with total democrat support] ever !! They have to feed their insanity by going on conservative sites to bray and squeal the traitors BS of lies denials and spin.

Hell - it’s FOX. The tvidiots and cell binky slaves are programed by their electronic masters and the rats on it to HATE HATE HATE FOX.
As always know your Republics enemy, treat them as such.

DSA vs DNC ? As a registered democrat I’m in the mix sowing and stirring their internal strife.

The Walmart in Panama City, Fl recently removed all self checkout, and went back to cashiers…

They sure as hell haven’t in Store #0001 in Rogers, AR - or my original “home store” #0100 in Bentonville, AR - directly across the street from the (now Old) Walmart Home Office.

Or any of the 70-80 or so for a 100-mile radius.

Walmart has 27 Supercenters within an hour’s drive of one-another [in this region]. My Uncle (who actually Opened store #0100 as its first Manager) told me [circa ‘95] that Walmart would not even consider breaking ground on a Supercenter unless they had statistical proof that more than 40,000 people per day would walk through the doors.

This was when they re-opened Store #0100 as a Supercenter, and it was only the 11th in the Nation.

Walmart has over 5,500 locations, and over 4,600 stores now - more than 3/4 of those are Supercenters. A Supercenter used to be defined by, containing a Grocery and Auto Center, and having 125,00-175,000 square feet of retail space; with 175,000-230,000 sq. ft. being classed “Hypermart USA” stores - which is a defunct name. They’re all “Supercenters” now. I am unsure of their exact definition nowadays, I’ve been out of contact with insiders for too many years.

Too stupid to see how it worked out for Bud Lite.
