I brought home 142 rnds of LC 67 150 grn FMJ 30.06. Look on line and the price blew me away, $4 a round? Why so high? Anyone?

It’s not a “modern” round and simply isn’t in demand. Many of the rounds these days are so related to one another (i.e. 300blk made from 5.56 cases, 6.5C from 308, etc) and extremely popular that it is easier for companies to make. During the panics we have seen mainly 5.56 and 9mm being made because that commands the greatest demand on the market.

I only use it for hunting. I can make rounds cheaper and more accurate than you can buy. For 30-06, I don’t ever plan to buy factory ammo every again.
