Some dude at my range had to have been emptying out his gear bag at home and found a front sight that wasn’t his.

It happens.

Old thread but this just happened to me on my front sight … it was spinning I tightened it down multiple times and it come loose

Don’t do that. A front sight post does not get hot enough for red.
