Meet the Forum Mods

So many of you have seen us on here and even interacted with us. So who are we? Well, first of all, @GamecockOperator , @SuperPredator , @Waffenbauer and myself are just normal guys like the rest of you. The four of us are not however, PSA employees. We are just huge supporters of the company and we were all honored and humbled to be asked to do this. Everyone else in the moderator category is a PSA Store Rep or PSA employee.

I will let the guys give as much background info as they want, but here is a little, most of which they have shared via their profiles or posts:

GamecockOperator is actually the reason we are all friends. He has been a staple in the Columbia/Lexington gun scene for years and a PSA supporter from very early on. He is a surviving cancer patient, a guy that would give you the shirt off his back, and an all around good guy. He is a government employee in the IT field. He has a smokin’ hot wife also (and he will tell you that).:rofl::rofl:

One Edit: GCO has archived every lower PSA has ever made, including pictures and the total number produced of many of them. It is a multi page thread stickied in the PSA section of arfcom.

If I’m not mistaken, WaffenBauer was one of the first PSA customers, buying things when PSA was in a 2 car garage. A life long shooter and a lover of simplicity, his 20" PSA rifle with ACOG serves as the forum image. He is quite the mechanic/hands on type of guy. Older than the rest of us, he gives us quiet wisdom and keeps us all in check. :raised_hands::raised_hands:

SuperPredator is a local FFL. My first interaction with him was at Fuddruckers in Columbia many years ago where he had to have the restaurant page his party…He is a sponsor of the Cola Wars (ask him), eats peeps for breakfast, has the largest tactical patch and sticker collection ever, and shoots in his backyard unsupressed to keep his property taxes low(its a gun free zone). He is also to blame for your high mortgage rate and the stress everyone knows when they go to the closing and the bank hasn’t sent the check yet. Oh, and he drives for Uber between the Cola airport and CLT.:grimacing::grimacing:

Me? Uncle Sam says I am self employed. I work in the Lexington area and am the office manager for my job. I am just overworked and underpaid…but that is why my wife works as a nurse at a local hospital. I play finger style guitar for fun, and can usually be found with a cold beverage in my hand. I run a lot, trying for 1000 miles for the year. I met all the above guys through gun stuff, and we often can be found together hanging at Fernandina. GCO and I were there this morning actually. That makes any bad day a good day, even if you don’t buy anything.

Anyway, that’s us. Just some regular guys. Please don’t get mad at us if we lock a thread, or send you an IM, or respond with the all to often used “CS is not on the forums.” We are glad you are here, we enjoy the dialogue, guns, friendships, and most of all, PSA. :sunglasses:

Well written, GG. I would add that I am retired army and my affinity for the AR platform goes back to my army days in the 70s. I’m retired now but spent time as an auto mechanic and still like to tinker. :sunglasses:

lol that’s not a bad description at all. Basically I work a lot. A LOT.
Banker, FFL, Uber Driver, Firearms Trainer, etc etc.

I got into moderating for the chicks, man.

Well, It’s good to know you guys. That way I know who to blame when a thread gets locked just cuz it got a little “juicy”! :rofl:

@Spider1 :see_no_evil::hear_no_evil::speak_no_evil:

Well said GG. however I feel humbled by what you wrote. I’d like to add I’m also a huge fan of Camaro’s having owned multiple generations and still own my first one. I was the president of a columbia based car club for 20 years before it ended its run. I love most things automotive as well. While i didnt serve in the military, I did belong to USAFJROTC in high school, and I am an Eagle Scout. As for my firearm tastes, I love PSA as its my home team, and at one time had tried to collect every version of a firearm PSA made before i found it to be way to costly (especially with the medical bills) love 1911s, and i like bullpups as well. I prefer AR’s over AK’s even though i started out building AK’s before i cut my teeth in the AR platform. Anywhoo ive rambled along enough … its a pleasure to work with these guys and I look forward to knowing yall more here!
