Introduce Yourself

With all of the new users to the Forums recently, I thought a thread like this would be a good idea. There are a lot of great people here, with a lot of knowledge. So, Welcome to all of the new members! We are really glad you’ve joined us.

I’ll start off. My name is Josh. I’m one of the forum moderators and I’ve been an employee of PSA for a little over 6 years. In my time here I’ve worked across almost all of our Manufacturing Facility, Customer Service, and now on our E-Commerce Team. I’m 12 years into my Army career and counting. I’ve had a love for Firearms from a young age, which stems from growing up around hunters and competitive shooters. I have been an armorer and firearms instructor for many years, and absolutely love talking, teaching and learning about anything firearm related.

Hello all, my name’s Robert. 22 years retired law enforcement professional. During my service I was a firearms instructor and dignitary protection specialist having been temporarily assigned to the protective details of a congressman and president. Last two years mostly human and narcotics trafficking in cartel territory. My friends call me a gun nut but I’m really just a nut. Raised two kids who have far above average handgun shooting skills. Currently managing a nonprofit with 46 employees and volunteering with a number of different community organizations. There’s nothing better than contributing to the success of children and adults who need help. I’m very blessed.

I’m GuitarGuy, self employed according to Uncle Sam and am a volunteer mod here on the boards. Been shopping at PSA for a long time, which is also how myself and the other mods became friends. I embrace my German heritage by being a connoisseur of fine beer.

Edit: I am not employed by PSA or any of their sister companies or parent company.

Hey all, just a fan of PSA here. I learn a bunch by scrolling through the forum and have fun reading some others comments and memes. I contribute where I can or if it hasn’t already been said better. Most of all, I just like that folks of all ages and backgrounds get together to share info and ask questions on a forum of a company I have come to appreciate.

Hello I am Yota-walker and I like beer  I signed up cause they told me there was beer. Still waiting. :+1:t2:

There is always beer…next time you are in Columbia, SC, it’s on me.

hi, my name is Jeff, and I am a gun addict.

I currently work as an instructor for the largest heavy-duty truck manufacture in the US. spent 28 years as diesel tech and 4 years in the Navy.

spend as much time as I can making sure my all my cordless short- and long-range hole punches are up to their job.

I’m like the second official user on here. My day job is the UX/UI Manager on the E-Commerce team at PSA. I’ve been here for a little under 3 years now. I also keep up with the forum ( designer of it ) and try to answer questions where possible. Most of my work at PSA is behind the scenes - keeping up with things.
My first firearm was a Beretta 92fs and I built my first PSA rifle nearly 10 years ago. I’m a pretty big Toyota enthusiast and have had several 4runners and now a Landcruiser.

This reads like a poorly written dating ad… lol
Maybe I’ll update my Linkedin with this.

As an early adopter, I believe I have another intro around here somewhere, but I’ll do it again here. I hope they match…

My name’s Dan (duh) and I’m a senior mechanical designer for an engineering company here in VA. I’ve been doing that for 25+ years now (time does fly). With that I’ve been all over the world and to some very interesting and exciting places (even down to Dahlgren, Rocky!). I do love to be at home though, out back at the range or up on the stand, hoping a deer will wonder across the property.

I’ve got a very supportive and understanding wife of 20+ years, and 4 kids who are growing up fast. They all enjoy shooting as well. I’ve had the honor and pleasure of teaching each of them (as well as a number of friends recently) the how’s and why’s of it, and can’t think of anything I enjoy more than spending time with my kids at the range. I very much hope we leave them a country remotely as good as the one I grew up in.

I still play with toys, mostly very loud ones. I have accumulated way too many, with more of them now having been produced by PSA than any other manufacturer. I love how PSA makes so many different and innovative things, but works to keep them affordable without sacrificing quality. Even though I’m not technically in the market right now, I’ll still drop upper/lower combos into my cart just to see how affordable they can be (of course that’s how I ended up with my last two ARs :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:). If they ever start making piston ARs, I’ll need to get another shed.

I’m here because I do love forums. I’ve been a long time member at a few gun and other toy forums. Beats the heck out of social media and you typically get to hang out with folks having at least some similar interests without a lot of donkeys chiming in to chide you for anything they disagree with. And the activity level and culture here is easily the best of any I’ve joined. I love the positivity and helpful attitude around here, and the giveaways certainly don’t hurt either!

Welcome to all the new folks joining recently! This is one of those places where you get out what you put in, so join in and have fun, and maybe learn some new stuff along the way!

Please allow me to introduce myself, I’m a man of wealth and taste.
Just kidding I am Darkcorner cause I live in the dark corner of South Carolina, where folks once made a living off moonshine licker.
I won’t bother with the details of my 40 year career cause I’m fixin’ to retire in three months woohoo.

Historically speaking, I bet most on this forum live in a place where corn liquor paid the bills at one time. :+1:t2:

It runs my truck.

Or either have some or can get some

I go by Waffenbauer here and I’m a volunteer mod. I’m retired army and a life-long gun enthusiast. I have been a fan of PSA since the first day they opened for business. I am still awestruck by how far Jamin and Josiah have taken this company and how much they continue to expand their business. I have made quite a few friends of other PSA fans and look forward to making many more.

I just found the old “Meet the Mods” thread to link.

My name’s “Rick” and I’m an AR-oholic. It’s a disease. I’m no expert by any stretch, but I do know some stuff. I like punching paper, but I really love punching :pig2: and :deer: in southeast and central Texas. I like some other stuff too including but not limited to  :wine_glass: :golf: :fishing_pole_and_fish: :speedboat: 🛻 :bacon::cut_of_meat::meat_on_bone::motorcycle: and memes. I’ve worked in a great variety of capacities, but at the moment my boss is a 20 month old girl child. Fortunately she has all of the same interests, but I don’t let her drink.

Hi Rick.

Spike the bottle man, it’ll help with nap time!

Funny side story. My wife loves making jerky. Well one time she used whiskey in the brine and forgot that it doesnt cook out. Gave some to my, at the time, 1 1/2 yr old. After a few pieces, it finally clicked as to why she was acting a little funny . Also happened once with whiskey infused cheese wedges.

Pleased to meet you. Hope you guess my name.

Hi, my name is Scott, and, I too, am an AR-leaning gun-a-holic. I’m afraid it’ll get better and better since I just retired (oops, I mean worser and worser! :grimacing: – gotta wash that one down with some aged corn fixins ).

I still have to work, but I’ll take a few weeks to rest, study, and figure out what I’m going to do. As much as I love my daughter’s 9-month-old German Shepherd, that baby-sitting job doesn’t pay.

I’d really like to get some property and grow veggies for local restaurants; however, it’s probably not that easy here in Nevada. I really don’t want to get back into IT since it’s a never-ending hamster wheel (I suppose most jobs are). A small farm in Nebraska or Missouri might be a good life-extender (fresh air and lots of exercise).
