My first lower build. I lost my religion, but recouped and bounced back. Took me a total of about 5 hours, . Every thing was rolling along and I would hit a snag here and there, but no more than 5 to 10 minute detour. Then i came to the final two parts, trigger and hammer. Holy ■■■■. Those poor pins are on their last leg. I beat on the trigger holding pin until I wanted to throw the damn thing away. . Finally got it set, honestly not sure if I put the pin in backwards or not. Down to the Last, the hammer. I messed with it for 2 hours. I called my dad over and he said your spring is in backwards. . I flipped the spring around and locked it in. It gave me that crisp click I was looking for. Booom! Finished product.
I Learned a lot today. Not only more about Ar’s in general, but about pushing through when thing get tough and never stop until the project is completed. And I also learned to by an AR block and vice.
I’m very pleased. Shoots great. Not one jam or malfunction. Even hit the target a few times.

usually you shouldnt have to bang on the trigger pins that much… if you are having to, something is not aligned correctly…
but i am glad you got her built,and that she fires great… also having the right tools really helps too… congrats and i know now you have the bug to build more.
usually the alignment of the sear inside the trigger, is the issue, it has to be aligned just right for the pin to go through the receiver, the trigger, the sear then back out the trigger and then back out the receiver … if that isnt ligned up perfectly its a whore. plus theres a spring inside the hole that has to pop out of the way too. so it acan be a bear.
the hammer pin hole though isnt that complicated. should go through fairly easy once you get them started… just you gotta line up the other side of the receiver with the pin when its coming back out of the inside of the receiver.
