New Range Toy

new range toy. micro dagger frame, glock internal parts polished, slight undercut, re-stippled grip and sides, bead blasted c-1 slide, fox army red dot. only thing left to play with trigger pull, kinda glock like, pull, hit wall and hard 5.5lb pull…well see…

Removed the rear sight but left the front in?

optic has rear sight… but honestly just thinking of using the Red Dot no sights… honestly just put the front sight in to cover the hole…lol

Got two Daggers. Both have dots. One has sights, other doesn’t.

I really think people overstate the need for both. IF the dot goes down, you can still point shoot very effectively, especially if you’re only at self-defense, down a hallway, or across the room ranges.

As long as you have a front sight you can do a combat hold and get pretty decent hits. I have to do that with mine cause 509T on it’s plate, is too tall for the factory tall Dagger sights. I need 4/5XL’s to cowitness.

Looks good. I like all my Daggers. :sunglasses:

ordered a 3CR tactical slide for my dagger frame. Just to have different options for my dagger or 43x. Here’s a quick review for those who ever thought of ordering one. Overall pretty happy with it. its a plain looking glock slide.

$140 including shipping. Fit and finish is pretty good. stainless steel slide with nitride finish. (says DLC) looks more Nitride. imo only have 2 gripes. Serrations should be a little deeper but not a deal breaker you can still cock the gun real easy. and RMSC cut does not have front lugs. But at least on my fox Army Red Dot, it was a snug fit. Rear of red dot rest completely flush on the backside of the slide and the screws line up perfectly.

When buying inexpensive Glock slides keep an eye on the ledge the connector rides against as you get rounds through it. Learned that when I bought some cheap Rockslide USA stuff in the past. They wore down every shot, basically making the connector out of spec as the contact surface got farther away. Made it so the trigger pull got heavier and heavier and eventually the gun wouldn’t fire anymore.

I always worry about steel quality and proper heat treat at those price points.

Exactly that spot. connector rides along the inside of that edge. There will be a little groove formed from the coating wearing off, but it shouldn’t keep getting deeper and deeper. At least not noticeably, within a few hundred rounds.

I’m likely just paranoid from Rockslide’s stuff, cause I’ve seen other inexpensive slides be fine. But still worth checking. You’d most likely notice it in the trigger pull first. Or maybe like me, not notice the trigger got heavier, but just wondered why your hand and finger got sore after shooting.

The fact that the cutout under your striker channel doesn’t have burrs and isn’t bent is a lot better sign that Rockslide ever gave me.

Nice! How’s the trigger on the stock micros? Is it like the dagger or like the 5.7 rock.

mine sucked…imo…replaced with glock trigger bar and housing, and didnt improve at all…5.5-6lb break…ordered a different connector from Overwatch…NP3 coated and wolff 5lb stiker spring…see if it improves…
