Just purchased my first AR… wanting a sling:any particular sling recommended, and do I need any add-ons to attach it? Thanks.

You have a QD attachment on the rail but not on the buttstock. Magpul makes a variety of sling attachments that will work, or you could buy a cheap sling (like a primary arms) and just add a single qd cup. The sling will attach to the stock via the slots.

I have a blueforce sling that i had since the Iraq surge 2007, it’s a two point adjustable sling, it was a gift but i love that sling. I bought one more for an PSA AK, they are a bit price but that sling went with me for that year deployment and a ton of field training and still good to go. The only thing would be to get that mlok attachment. But that’s just my experience with it

when talking qd slings, i prefer the magpul ms3 / ms4 qd slings. they are 1 or 2 point slings, and are easily converted from one point to two point and vice versa. they come in many colors, to fit the basic colors of your rifle, and are around 55.00 give or take.
