@RoadHound Gorgeous. Love the custom paint on the fire selector - was that painstaking to do?
I’ve never done it yet, but I’m planning on doing some soon. Its much easier than you’d think. Here’s the basics.
i use testors model paint myself.
I would suggest, if you haven’t already, switch to an adjustable Gas port.
all you needed is a ar10 in 11.5 barrel.
I think I’m happy with these two… for now. ![]()
My PA10, ran a 5x magnifier combo from sightmark, and put a king comp muzzle brake on there. Loud af now but it really helped with the recoil.
Not at all, all you have to do is wait for the coating paint on the rifle to cure, if you painted the rifle, then just degrease the stamped Fire/Safe area and apply some testors paint color of your choice, let it dry for about 12 hours and then wipe excess with a piece of cloth slightly wet on lacquer thinner
My first AR10 Gen3 .308 build! PSA 18" stainless upper and PSA lower. Magpul CTR, Luth chubby grip, Leapers bi-pod and Sig optics. EPT FCG for now. Just finished last night so no rounds fired yet.
The more I shoot and Season the barrel. The groups are really tightening up. Extremely pleased with the performance of this rifle and caliber.
very nice. my first ar10 i had built looked similar to yours, it had that stock and grip. i had to sell it as its too heavy for me to hold since ive gotten sick. the buttstock alone is sooooo heavy… but it was nice to manipulate that’s for sure.
good looking rifle sir.
how did you get the PRS Lite to fit? Did you use the buffer tube that came with the PA-10?
Mine doesn’t fit right - either need a new tube I guess (M5) or I need to run it without the buffer retention detent and every time I break the rifle open I need to take care to catch the buffer&spring with my hand.
The PRS lite went right on, they have a piece that goes in between the stock and the receiver for rifle length buffer tubes. Also my PA is a Gen3 is that matters.
I’m just guessing you went ahead and tapped it up 1 right 1…? Noice!
um sure!
Finally finished adding a scope, ambi charging handle and bipod for the PA-10 (.308) I got over the July 4th sale. Took it out to the range for the first time yesterday and had a blast. My first PSA firearm and I am very happy with it!
