I did research and most threads said the gas may need to be adjusted, I tried starting at fully closed and went to fully open (28) clicks without being able to get more that 3 shots off before jamming. According to PSA the factory setting is 16 clicks, I tried that and work up and down from there. The first ten rounds went okay then it went downhill. I couldn’t get more than three shots off before jamming.
18” stainless with 1-8x Vortex Strike Eagle.
What kind of ammo are you using ?
The combination of Buffer weight, Buffer Spring thickness/ strength (the "Spring Constant), the amount of gas, lubrication condition of the bolt & bolt assembly - all need to be in balance for the magic of semi-auto firing to take place.
the rifle is still as it came from PSA. I have tried Federal and Winchester factory loads also my own reloads. I have tried every gas block setting from fully closed to fully open with no magic combination found. After contacting PSA they said the factory setting for my rifle/gas block combination is 16 clicks open. That did work for a total of 10 shots, after which it jammed every two to four rounds.
I tried settings on either side of the recommended setting down to twelve open and up to nineteen clicks open with no improvement. The bolt has obvious machining defects and have asked PSA if I could purchase a replacement bolt with no response. They seem to have ghosted me as I have had no further replies from them to my inquiries.

Have you tried strip cleaning it?
Take upper receiver off. Remove bolt carrier group. Remove firing pin and bolt from not carrier group. Degrease / clean all pieces, upper, and chamber. Thoroughly lubricate all cleaned areas and let sit for a couple of days.
Wipe excess lubricant from parts and reassemble.
Test fire.
This resolved cycling issues for my PA-10.
Gen 3 - 18" with 1-8 Strike Eagle, Magpul PRS Lite stock, Accutac Bipod, PSA extended charging handle, SiCo Saker 762 .
Almost complete, looking to replace charging handle and add a bipod, plus upgrade butt stock. Anxious to get it to the range.

No FTF. Will Still need to put more rounds down range to fire form brass and break in the barrel.

I’m guessing that’s from 100 yards? It looks pretty good with the S&B ammo - it’s probably too early to ask AAC to make a good 6.5 CM round
but it’s getting to be very popular. I’m still at the “push the buy button” stage for an upper but cringing at the price of bullets.
I checked out all the pros and cons, and for me the pros outweighed the cons.
The 6.5 CM from what i am seeing Looks to become adopted by the US military For special services. So the round may become more available and affordable, As the popularity grows. Long range Groundhog hunting is my favorite past time. My rifle of choice was chambered in 22-250 accuracy was Awesome I know there are others but that was my favorite,
as for the 6.5 CM that fits my needs for Long range accuracy without the recoil. I like the idea of being a heavier caliber also. With the 1st time firing that rifle with 20 rounds of cheap ammo I was impressed with the accuracy. With hand loads it can only get better. If you take the plunge I don’t think you will be Disappointed. Take note of some of the tips that other shooters recommend.
Gen 3 18" Mid=length .308.
Mine so far… Magpul Pro sights, MOE SL S stock, MI sling adapter and swivels, Hogue OM grip…Blue-force combat sling, ADM Recon mount, Leupold Mark 2 (Pre Mark AR) 6x18x40 AO. MI QD bi-pod adapter…Caldwell bi-pod… Since this pic was taken I have added an MI 30 cal flash hider, A Veltor mod4 charging handle, changed the trigger to a ArmaLite 2 stage Tactical (adjustable) Trigger and KNS anti rotation pins… just waiting for the pennys to add up to get a MI 15" Mlok handguard…
The Accuracy out of the box was amazing… in less than a box of shells I was on target and 1moa on the guns part…will post another pic when finished.
All of them, very nice.
Here’s my latest. After waiting for years for PSA to do 6mm, Creedmoor and ARC I had to Make my own. This is a 6 (NOT 6.5) Creedmoor. Ranier barrel, 22" rifle length+2" gas system. Come on PSA do 6mm!! I have 2 ARC’s and now four 6 Creedmoor’s. I have 2 Faxon’s but when I found these Ranier’s I had to order a couple. One of my ARC’s and one of my Creedmoors are all PSA except the barrels.
Ar-10 compatibility, there are 2 styles of AR-10 receivers, low (ex Palmetto) and high (ex Aero) A low lower (PSA) will fit either upper all day every day. The same goes for a tall upper, either lower works great!! Your problems come with a tall lower (Aero) and a short upper (PSA), most of the time (not always, you have to check) there’s not quite enough room for your charging handle. Lower parts kits and everything else except for free floating hand guards work on both, you have to choose high or low when you order a handguard. Happy building, it’s a great platform ![]()
That’s why G_d invented Milling Machines….
LOL, I have a P-80 80% lower that I’ll probably never finish and I was thinking the same thing about that one. I don’t have a milling machine but I do have a lot of ski tuning files ![]()
