Found me a surplus used USMC bayonet for my new rifle

I built a clone tribute gun of my bro’s boot rifle he had while at paris Island. I did include a surplus bayo as well in that tribute build. its pretty nice rifle. full on M16a4 style 20" chf barrel, etc etc… damn nice… then some 8 -10 years after i built that… FN comes out with their military tribute rifle lines, of both the m4 and the M16a4… oh well. Mine though i like better a little cause the parts i used building it, a lot of them, were surplus sourced, thus parts had actually seen use in the sandbox, and other places… plus he gave me his sling from boot (they have to provide their own if they want one) and it wears that too… so it’s like it really was his kinda.

How long is that and how do those hook on there? I have a knife that’s similar to that, would sweet to use if possible
Now you are getting into the spirit of collecting. I love my original bayonets. They have proven to be a good investment. The prices on them has skyrocketed over the last few years.

yeeeeaaahhh. the only thing more scary than staring at the muzzle of an M-16 is Staring at the muzzle of an M-16 with a bayonet attached to it.

It is a great secondary weapon system. I remember bayonet training and you can really do some damage. If you see a pissed off guy holding a rifle with a bayonet attached and you aren’t intimidated then you need to have a mental evaluation. Think how long a M1 Garand is then picture it with a 16" bayonet attached to it. You could do so much damage and still not be right up close to your opponent.

I found my old USMS bayonet in the attic a few months ago and built this rifle off the bayonet design
The compensator makes this 5.56 rifle shoot like a .22LR !

I must have a great local hub after hearing about yours and many others’ UPS problems. They’re top notch around my parts. FedEx is so so and I have one of the worst local post offices in the nation.
Hope you get it soon and management tightens that driver up!
What kind of comp are you using?
Same here in IL. UPS is phenomenal around me, FedEx and usps are just plain pathetic tho.

in central NC for me UPS is great, USPS is ok and I am way beyond fedup with FEDEX. if I could pick a shipper it would never be FEDEX.
the things that we complain about…
I most always use UPS or FedEx because USPS REFUSES to deliver packages to my home. That driver is ridiculous and no amount of complaining will change it. someone else needs to underbid her on the contract so she looses it.
So now when I order stuff, I typically include at least one box of ammo in the order so it comes UPS or FedEx.
