Looking for bayonets to fit on GF3. And suggestions or do they take a certain kind?
AR guy who has several Galils but new to AKs.

I put a Polish type two on my GF3 laminate ak and it fit perfectly. Also threw on a Polish cleaning rod, and love the look

i would think just about any standard AK bayonet would fit it.

Yeah I wouldn’t think either type would cause any problems. Love a nice AK with the wood and bayonet, sling and rod. Such a classic look, I definitely had to have one.

I got a non-matching Yugoslav bayonet for my rifle. With a little filing on both, it fits snugly and locks on securely. However, I also committed what is probably an unforgivable sin in the collecting world (mine isn’t a collector’s item anyway).
T committed sharpening on it. Seems to be decent steel and it’s arranged to avoid getting cut on the edge in use.

Very cool. I’ve yet to get any sort of AK bayonet. We need more guys posting their AK setups.
I can’t show it attached, as my AK has a linear comp on it at the moment, but here she is. I forget what Eastern Bloc commie country made it, but was unissued surplus. It came absolutely caked in cosmoline, that took mineral spirits to get rid of. It also came pretty dull, I had it professionally sharpened around the riot times, a few years ago.

Looks like the exact one I have, straight down to the cosmoline and dullness. Atlantic Firearms?
Some dealer on an auction site, which I’m not sure if we can name. I did however, look at Atlantic when I was searching for one.
Putting together a SHTF kit and the bayonet might make a decent utility belt knife. Got a couple Polish 3-mag pouches with a couple NATO canteens and some other “stuff”. Quite an international hodgepodge but it works.

bayonets tend to be a bit long, unless you’re going with ak bayonets, and then its just an oversized buck knife.

It’s an inexpensive AK bayonet with mismatching scabbard etc. Took a decent edge and should make a decent utility knife. Sorry, but a PSA lower is not involved, unless it can be an AKM type receiver. Using an East German suspender set with a German web belt to carry all the stuff, actually carries pretty well.
yeah i have a few of those inexpensive AK bayonets myself… The black ones, the brown bakelite ones, etc. etc. got them back when the kit’s for ak’s were like 75.00 and came with their barrels too… i wish i’d of had more $$ back then so i could have bought more kits.
