Hello everyone, I just picked mine up, RK1. The bag with the plates had 3 plates and 4 screws. 2 short ones go to the plate to the slide but the other 2 does not have the same thread as the plate, isn’t there supposed to be more screws? Thanks in advance
Take the plate off and see if they fit the slide. IIRC, those screws are for a Holosun 407/507K mount (which needs no adapter plate) as the screws need to be a bit shorter than the ones supplied by Holosun. You would use the screws supplied with the optic to mount to the adapter plate.
If the longer screws are also M4 like the shorter screws and are no more than 10mm in length, then they are for mounting a Holosun 407K or 507K MRD directly to the optics cut out as the screws that come with the Holosun are 12mm in length and will penetrate and damage both of the the striker housing half’s if tightened down all the way.
Thank you, yah the thread and diameter is different. I got the plate on using the small counter sunk screws, but cant mount the optic to the plate. The screws that the optic came with had some resistance on the test fit so I don’t dare use em. Ill take it to the store tomorrow maybe they have the plate specific screws. Thank you again
Which manufacturer on the optic?
TruGlo 8100g, fits on a doctor cut. I took it off my dagger so I can test fire the rock. But no joy, iron sights it is then
I bought that same one (8100G) for a Dagger with RMR cut. Didn’t want to go with a plate so it ended up on a Henry 30-30. I really like the optic and it’s been working fine on the Henry. For 69 clams, couldn’t pass it up.
Yep same here, I bought one for my budget plinker tx22 and ended up getting another one for the dagger, I was going to buy the holosun 507, but man I cant shell out that much when the rk1 rocks are going for 399.
The Cyelee Cat Pro can be mounted directly on the Rock. Has good reviews. It is apparently discontinued by Cyelee but they are available on eBay for $150.
Feel your pain on more $ attached to a firearm than what the firearm cost. The first 2 were early before the price dropped. Still quite enjoy all three.
Can you tell me which screws to use for cyelee cat on the rock?

The Rock requires M4 screws. The depth of the Rock Slide Red Dot Mounting Holes are 3.8MM. If the Cyelee Cat Pro mounting holes in it’s base are countersunk for a Flat Head Torx screw then measure the thickness of the base of the Cylee Cat Pro from the top of the base over one of the mounting holes so you include the depth of the countersink and add it to 3.8MM which will give you the maximum overall length of the required M4 Flat Head Torx screws.
If the screw hole isn’t countersunk then you need an M4 Pan Head Torx screw with only the thread length equal to the total length of the above countersunk screw.
