If you’re new to the platform and new to shooting it’s a solid launching pad. If you’re not new to shooting sport it’s leaps and bounds ahead of a ā€œstockā€ AK trigger.

You’ll like it

To get the EPT in a package vs buying it outright, the cost is minuscule

To buy an EPT outright and have it nothing to compare to…I don’t know. I still think you’d like it

I gave mine away to people looking for upgrades

Wished I kept one for my 7.62x39 rifle build to throw Wolff springs into :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I’ve always told the wife… we can either be broke and homeless from drugs… or broke and homeless from guns.

I discovered we had a very comfortable basement couch that night

Do what I did, bought 2nd AR for ’ her '.

I have PSA EPTs on both my PSA lowers.

Ditto.

I have one AR and I’ve owned 3 AKs. The WASR was my least favorite. My Zastava M90 is my current rifle and the best rifle I’ve ever owned.

However, my one AR is a short-stroke gas piston rifle and it’s just so much fun to shoot.

I’m happy to hear it

It’s more about the round count through them, rather than the fact I gave them away :100:

@VerbalKint no personal attacks. ~GuitarGuy

Nah, I’m not like that. To each his own and my opinion is right for me but I also realize not everyone wants or needs the same things.

The EPT is OK but not much of an upgrade for the $$. If it’s in the build already (sorry, I failed to notice that), then you have a sample to try! I did my own trigger work before EPTs came out with sharpening stones and CLP. When I excitedly got my hands on an EPT, it was unfortunately a downgrade compared to the triggers I did.

The 2-stage PSA enhanced NiB (Schmidt Tool 1005 tactical) is far nicer and the price is great for what you get. I have them in 6 of my ARs. I also have a Geissele SSA-E in one. Very very nice BUT 3X the price (on sale). The PSA 2 stage is the best bang for your $$, IMO. I still have my own old triggers in a few frankenbuilds, too.

OK, you’ve had enough of my opinions…

And I’m not fond of 2 stage :+1:t3:

I’m old school, the M-16s and variants I carried in the military had regular mil spec. You either can shoot straight or you can’t, don’t blame it on the trigger…:us_outlying_islands:

The one mechanical change I made to mine was to install a PSA 3.5 single stage trigger. Like night and day over the standard trigger/hammer that came with the rifle. If I had been staying with iron sights the standard trigger is usable, however since I have a variable power optic I wanted a little better trigger pull.

Want to build my own lower (s). Got to find a FFL that doesn’t charge $45 transfer fee per first…

Ya’ll are reminding me I have a few PSA triggers I need to install. I keep forgetting about them cause I cant decide which lowers to put them in so I hold off, forget about it, repeat later.
