Paper C-zones?

I’m a cheap bastard but I also like refacing targets regularly enough to keep accountability. To that end, I’m on the hunt for regulation C-zone repair centers.

I’ve used the product from Target Barn for years and it’s great with a little spray glue but it doesn’t have a head box. The STKY targets are cool but I’m looking for something without adhesive to keep costs as low as possible. Any suggestions?

That “repair” is more expensive than what my club pays for silhouette targets. What’s the point here?

Which repair are you talking about?

I’m paying around $1/ea for USPSA targets after shipping. The target barn repair centers are around $0.35/ea. The STKY targets are around $0.50/ea. If you’re getting USPSA targets cheaper than that I would love to know where.

I’m looking at the ones in your link(s).

My shooting club pays between $.50-.60 apiece for USPSA/IDPA silhouettes (I am not the Buyer, but I asked previously because I wanted to know), and anyone can get them from a USPSA-certified vendor on Amazon for roughly a buck-Oh-five:

One place gives no price:

The other link is $.64/ea. for 75, $.80/ea. for 25.

It takes a couple hundred shots to “shoot out” the middle of one of these targets. Essentially a Wash.

Here’s a couple of self-adhesive kraft paper stickies:

Wide, lengthy, but pricey shipping:

Free ship, (350) 2x3 kraft stickys on a roll:

(300) 2x3 tan stickys, CHEAPER, but doesn’t look like kraft paper:

(30) 8x11 sticky sheet, $.68 each, as pricey as the pre-cut target repairs above, if you use the entire sheet. But scissors can make an 8.5x5.5: easy cutting “each” per-piece price in half.

That’s all my suggestions for now.

This is a worthwhile thread, thanks for starting it!

If a person has access to Corrugated Cardboard in bulk:

Dimensional piktarz:

OAF-ishul Dimentianz:

I’ll usually shoot the same cardboard for a month or two and just reface with the target barn product. They’re about $.35/ea.

Over the course of a year it’ll save me a couple hundred dollars in targets. The thing that it’s missing is the head box.

I appreciate the DIY suggestions but it’s not practical for higher volume. Airhawk, I’d love to know where your club is getting USPSA targets for $.50-.60.

If I think about it, I’ll ask the Secretary/Buyer at the next Club meeting.
