Psa stg-44

I’m wondering if PSA will be making stamped steel MP40s too? Battlefield line? If ya’ll do count me in for buying atleast 5. I’ll sell silver to have those in the armory.

im not sure if they will do MP40s. I know and own an ATI MP40 in 9… they produce them in both 9 and 22. i’ve not yet shot the 9, but i was able to put a folding brace on it and its a great feeling old gun. but its changed from the originals being its all true semi auto and functions from a closed bolt, and doesnt have many of the same parts that the originals did.

The ATIs are Zamak5 framed construction and not steel. I’ve shot the 9mm one before (grabbed it about a year ago) and shoots very well!

i had no idea about Zamak5. what is that?

im glad to hear it shoots well. i really ought to shoot more of what i buy but sometimes i just get it and forget to take it to the range. lol.

Zamak5 is Zinc, Aluminum and 1-3% copper with a few other things in there in very tiny percentages. The ATI frame for the mp40 is die casted, not stamped. It can be die casted because Zamak 5 is easy to work with. Which is why a lot of people sway away from buying it. The original MP40 was stamped steel just like the stg44. Zamak5 is essentially the cheap alternative, though it ‘gets the job done’, you wouldn’t deploy it with soldiers in war over steel mp40s like the original.

Easy stamp blowback, high return for the company(PSA) if done and in 100% steel(outside the furniture ofc lol).

I gotcha, its an alloy… im not surprised its die cast… but as long as the barrel and breach is steel and good to go im happy. I didnt buy it like i was gonna take it to war, i bougth it cause its a neat novelty that i could use in the collection as a representation of a wwII firearm that would be fun at the range. So iunderstand what your saying about not taking it to war.

i’d love for PSA to do it though.

Same. I’ve seen people fire thousands through a gsg 9mm and nothing bad has happened at all. It’s just one of those particulars. PSA making those would be just like how they sell out of the recent 7.62 release

yeah, im sure what they build will depend alot on how well the stg44 sells. i really hope it is an awesome gun and it takes off well and is dependable and just perfect from the get go.

This upcoming week ? Do you know what day good sir ?

The video is out. Im going to start a new thread.

that was a great video to see… so many are eating their shoe now i love it.

If someone were to have dimensional schematics of the mp38/mp40 is that something PSA would be interested in ever making/collaborating on/acquiring… would you know @GuitarGuy ? I do have a great deal in my possession. The only thing that would need to be changed out is the trigger assembly set-up for the blowback system and making it closed loop.

My background is in computer science but I am familiar with weapons technology.

note: I did not post any of the schematics here for obvious reasons.

I am sure their engineers have schematics as well. If you need a job though, they are always looking for engineers.

I want to and have for sometime but alas I’m in Michigan and have no place in the Carolinas in terms a place to live. I’m also poor. I’m well experienced at 29 and good at what I do but it’s not within feasibility for me financially to move.

But I do want to.

How close are you to Becker? MPI is also a JJE company.

Very far still, would be the same type of move. Can’t financially afford it, not even a tiny bit.

Luckily I’m a programmer so if you guys keep a coffee machine running I’ll sleep in the facility and run round robin of work and sleep. That would solve the problem. :coffee:

you never know, psa may like you enough to pay for your move… companies do that sometimes.

i didnt look, but i hope GG gave you the link to the aberdeen project.

Ideally that would be amazing! But I’d also would like to know everything they would need me to know work wise(systems/software) so I can catch up/be readily prepared and do a running start on arrival to save time and resources.

It’s not the first time company/places have done this. My background is rather interesting I guess depending on who one asks. Mainly focused on cyber security and research.

(Just some background on me). Back in 2014 I hacked the Chinese government many times and then infiltrated their HongKong police department in 2018/2019. Revealed a whole network of what was going on during the time of protests there and dumped their emails proving connections to several spy programs to attack us. You can imagine how incredibly unhappy the ccp was about this. Insider at Hong Kong Police Department Reveals All | The China Report | The Epoch Times

inb4 any concerns. I’m a-okay and fine.

I did a full video interview on this with Epoch some 4 years ago…which is floating around somewhere in the endless internet space.

Sorry for getting too far off topic in anycase.

I worked cyber security for years. Typically one does not share this kind of information. It is assumed this work was done on behalf of a company or office which most likely doesn’t want this kind of information shared publicly. It also smacks of concededness which is unbecoming. If I were an organization like PSA I would stear clear of someone like this.
