Are there any updates on the Soviet arms line of ammo? I’m looking forward to being able to find 5.45 again. Seems like it was supposed to happen June or July I believe…
Steel case is still being set up but Jamin has said hopefully they will begin 7.62x39 starting late Sept or early October.
Thank you! Do you mean “begin” as in start producing or start selling?
Making and then selling what they make.
Would be a welcome sight. I would really like to see a reliable source of 5.45 and 7.62x39.

It’s going to happen.
Can’t happen fast enough.
I want a -103, but not until Soviet Arms starts making ammo.
This is another one of PSAs major money makers.
The 5.45x39 guys like me are itching for some relief. As soon as 5.45 is avaliable the floodgates will open.
Right now, rifles chambered in 7.62x39 or 5.45 have a depressed value because people are either paying stratospheric prices (5.45mm) or are paying 5.56 brass prices for steel-cased garbage-tier ammo from Kyrgyzstan that we wouldn’t have bought for more than 10 cents a round back in the 2000s (7.62mm).
As soon as Soviet Arms starts cranking out product, look for the value of those firearms to shoot through the roof.
I hate to burst your bubble but I don’t think there is any way psa will be able to crank out enough ammo to drive prices back down. I hope I’m wrong but the Russians imported over 700 million rounds of ammo a year. Psa said they have one line for steel case and they will be rotating calibers out. Making one batch at a time
Good first post @hogslayer, welcome to the forums ![]()
i hope they make a bunch, the market is there i think
Any new updates?
Would like an update as well. Last I heard was September/ October. Wonder how far along 6.5 Grendel is also
I may have an update by the end of the week but havent heard anything lately.
I don’t think they’re going to be able to keep it in stock, honestly. There’s a huge demand for it. People are paying stupid prices for cheap, crap-tier steel-cased ammo.
Update: many of the machines have arrived and are currently being installed. While PSA didn’t give me a hard date, they did tell me they are on track for a Q4 release and are working as fast as they can. 7.62x39 will be first.
Installation of those fabrication machines is a cast-iron b$&@#! They have to be carefully leveled, preferably with lasers and reflectors.
That’s going to take a while. Patience be our guide.
762x39 first!!! Aaaaamen!!!
