Hey man. I actually bought one maybe a few weeks ago as my first AK rifle. I can’t stress how much I love it. I am one of those AR guys but I think it changed my mind. The trigger pull is perfect, not terribly light but not 12 pounds you know? It really helps you send the shot. However my rifle was not zeroed from the box as it was shooting about 6-7 high at 100 yards. Not really a big issue, love the gun though.

I noticed a lot of the PSA Ak’s don’t come with cleaning rods. Are these rods essential to cleaning the barrel? I have no issue picking one up, they seem to go for around 10-20 bucks. But am I missing something if I don’t buy the cleaning rod? Can they be cleaned with a bore snake?
They can be cleaned with a boresnake or any standard gun cleaning kit you have!

I’ve been salivating over a plum MOEKov PSAK for a little while now, have watched them go in and out of stock for a few weeks now, and… finally ordered one today! They just look so awesome and I love the idea of a PSA produced, fully ‘Merican AK with those glorious throwback plum accents! I’ve already got a micro dot adapter and optic, quick attach sling and flashlight mount ready to fit this puppy out as a modernized AK freedom carbine!
Just received mine last Tuesday. It was scheduled to be delivered Monday but my FFL is closed on Mondays. Put about 40 rounds through it the day I picked it up until thunderstorm closed down the range on me. It is everything I thought it would be and more. It’s so much fun to shoot, you’re going to love it. Still have some work to do with sighting it in, but I’m eager to get back to range today and get that done. Enjoy it!

Nbreitner22 you were spot on your assessment about the AK! I think I am also leaning my allegiance a little toward the AK vs my AR. The AK (even this brand new American made one from PSA) seems a little more raw, primal, and dirty. I love shooting it.

Put an alg trigger in that rifle and you wont believe the difference. You’ll tell that ar to take a hike.
Love mine, just took the shoulder brace off for a deep clean and I cant get it back on.
Cant find anything to help me put it back on youtube as well.
Get yourself a good cleaning rod…it will make cleaning much easier. That clean rod under the barrel is best for nostalgia……it just adds to the look of the AK….But as a cleaning rod……it’s about the worst cleaning rod ever.
