Questions about AR-V9

I’m thinking about an ar-v9 kit to assemble but I see the essential parts kit but little else. Is there a reason? Barrels are tough to find. Is everyone going elsewhere for them? If so, where? It seems that the lower takes standard AR parts so that’s easy enough. I’m kind of new to this but building guns is very enjoyable. I just need some guidance. I’m not as interested in the gen4 setup as I am the AR-V. Thanks for the help.

You may be able to find some helpful information in the other post about the AR V9

Just use the :mag: at the top. Hope that helps you.

Any ar9 barrel will work. Any ar15 lpk will work. The ARV uses a receiver set and bcg that are not compatible with regular AR9s, which is why the essentials kit is sold the way it is. Most handguards will work also, but those with anti-rotation tabs may need to be modified.

Thanks for the information. It clears up many questions I had. Any rumors of a new gen coming out or should I just bite the bullet and get the current version.

Im not sure there will be a gen 2. Its a really good set as it is.

i’ve built one myself, as has GG, and what he’s said is spot on. the receiver set and bcg are top notch, and gtg… i too dont think they’ll have a v2 unless they just want to do something aesthetically… if i were you i’d go ahead and pull that trigge.r
