Recommendations for cerakote shop?

Looked through a ton of example pictures again. Here’s basically where I’m at, I like this pattern:

And I’m considering a color scheme similar to this, a matte black base with the gloss black tiger stripes:

Again, on a 6” GP100 with a silver trigger and hammer. My only other consideration is doing dark bronze stripes on the matte black base. Thoughts?

But with more black underneath @Don_Keedix

That’s cool, but I think I prefer the simpler pattern for the handgun.

Something like that would look pretty awesome on the Sabre I built, though.

I like the subtle pattern of gloss black on matte black if you’re collecting votes.

Collecting votes no, just looking for outside opinions since I’ve never done anything like this before. Pretty much all my guns are anodized or stainless.

Pimp My Gunz… the new reality TV show. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Just dont make it a Red Jacket kind of firearm…

I don’t get the Red Jacket reference.

The only reason I’m considering this at all is because the finish is already ruined and getting it nickeled or chromed will be a pain.

For the record, not to be confused with this user–no industry employment of any kind here.

Red Jacket was rhe shop that had a show on Discovery and the guy ended up un jail

Mostly stuff for the Saiga-12 cult, IIRC. Their heyday was back when Larry Correia was first getting started with his Monster Hunter International books…

Actually, there was another. Didn’t Rich Wyatt and some of his family from that other show end up losing their FFL and doing time too?

Rich Wyatt was a different show…gunsmoke maybe? But yes, they lost their ffl also

Sons of Guns @GuitarGuy

Yeah, couldn’t remember the name but did seem to recall Discovery went 2-for-2 picking losers.

Just did some googling of both. Real good look for us (relatively) normal gun guys, putting those two out there.

My guy got taken out by Helene.

Jaded, cynical take as someone who’s worked around the Media Mafia: They did so by design, that kind of Smear By Association is penny-ante stuff by their standards.

When my ex was running our college’s paper, a couple really skeevy stunts by some of her J-student animals got spiked because I had made clear to her that “I can’t protect someone I can’t respect.”

The OCC of the gun world.
