Ok this one isn’t a mil-surp but it is a C&R. Its my 1899 Savage chambered for 25-35. It was manufactured in 1909 and has been restored. I bought it from a guy I used to work with. He told me that when he got it, it was in very bad shape. It was found under the bed of an older gentleman that passed away and had been there for a long time without being cared for so when he got it he decided to have it restored. While not collectable it is a nice old gun in a fairly unusual chambering. Also someone inletted diamond shaped MOP into each side of the stock and some kind of cut stones on each side of the stock and on top.

I know I’m a little bit late on this, but I have to comment how, the Profile of this 1899 reminds me of a Red Ryder BB gun. It’s not exact, but one can see that maybe the design of the RR was inspired by the 1899 Savage.
