Sports in general

Talk about any sports other than college football, we have a separate forum for it.

He’s seen some things.

Sorry @Jammo, I don’t watch ANY sports anymore…

I’ve read about this guy before.
I’m not sure how this will pan out for him though. Best of luck

Yes sir and I can understand why.
I gave up NFL it seems like 100 years ago.
College football is getting on my last nerve.

I hope the Braves have the decency to give this guy the one day contract. It would cost them next to nothing and the pension would be a negligible cost to MLB.

I watch NASCAR, this weekend they’re at Talladega 2.66 mile track at over 200mph.

Just got thru watching the Xfinity qualifying. Richard Childress’ cars qualified 1-2. I’m a huge NASCAR fan; started listening to the races on the radio with my Dad in the early 1960’s.
…and yes I know I’m old :rofl::rofl::rofl:

That’s awesome, I like the radio calls better than the booth guys. RC Xfinity team is on fire this year just need Cup team back up front. I have to go to a wedding tomorrow right when Xfinity race starts. ugh :weary:.

My GF is a huge NASCAR fan I stopped watching it when they intro’d the NextGen car. It was boring to watch two trains racing each other. She’s got me back into it but I still feel they flipped it and now they can’t pass on the short tracks. Go MTJ and JRM. More of a fan of the Xfinity series.

I still love to watch the races, go to a few when I can, but to be be perfectly honest my interest really dropped off after Earnhardt died. The rough and tumble racing needs to be brought back. Trading paint, smoking cigarettes while racing, drinking beer after the race… probably even a fight in the infield. :grin:

:100: agreed.
Bring back the good old days of real racing.

I raced dirt track cars for about 15 years and if there wasn’t at least one fight in the pits on a race night something was wrong…
:rofl::us::+1:

Who remembers this fella?

I have some personal stories with him :flushed:
He was 30 years older than me but you would have never known it.

I didn’t recognize the name but I just read an article about him. Seems like he was quite a character.

Pickens?

Harvick is picking Logano for the win :thinking:
@Coolwin1776

No I raced at Anderson before it was paved, Westminster, Toccoa, Hartwell and Lavonia. Load of fun, very expensive, and even if you won the payout didn’t cover your expenses and repairs. Great hobby…:grin:

A friend/coworker ran Sprints in PA when I lived up there. I called them the ā€œBeg, Borrow & Cheatā€ race team.

Michael McDowell wins the pole for Sunday’s Cup Series race.
