Didn’t see a thread on the subject and I will probably be on the market for a Jakl and suppressor in the near future. I noticed that some suppressors are noted not to work on them (according to the product page) and thought I would check ahead of time, as to what did? I’m probably looking at a Dead Air Sandman or Sandman -S, for the suppressor, as that is what my local shop has recommended. It would be useable on my AK also, if I wanted to add a muzzle device that would accept it. What is everyone using?

Sandman L on a JMAC Keymo flash hider works for me on two Jakl’s of two barrel lengths.
If you want it to work on an AK, first confirm your AK has a concentric bore. Also, 7.62x39 is very slightly larger in diameter than 308/300BLK, so check the silencer’s specs first. In the Dead Air family, they have the Wolfman to address those issues. Don’t know if the Sandman series is rated for 7.62x39.
Will a Flow 762 work for 300 Blackout? I saw it mention that subs might not work with flow cans but curious if anybody has had success with that set up?

They also have an adapter for the Wolverine, so it can be used on non-AK platforms, so long as they have a keymo muzzle device installed.
There is also the HUB adapter you can buy from DeadAir, that would allow you to use HUB compatible cans, with a keymo muzzle device, from manufacurers not on the compatibility list above.
Or at least, that’s what I think you can do. I’ve been finding this stuff a bit confusing looking into it with no prior knowledge on any of it.

We’re getting a bit off-topic, but I don’t see a recent AK suppressor thread here either.
As for flow-through cans with subs, it’s a hard “maybe” from what I’ve seen and used. The Jakl allows you to open up the gas port enough that I have no issues on the 8.5" barrel 300BLK running subs, but I’ve also got a pretty high backpressure can in the Sandman L. But I still don’t need to run it wide open, so maybe. Flow-through designs are pretty nice to have for reduced gas in the face, though they’re more useful on a regular AR DI system than the piston-driven Jakl. Or an AK, for that matter.
The Hub mounts have, thankfully, largely made the 1.75" diameter an agreed upon standard across much of the industry. You can mostly put any can on any QD mount using an adapter. There are exceptions, and you need to read the specs carefully, but it’s better than it used to be. Also, don’t be afraid to email the company and ask. They know their stuff and really want to make a sale, so the more they can tell you the better it is for them, too.
Here’s my summed up short answers. If you want a do-it-all can that will work on the Jakl and AR’s, get a .30 cal, but don’t put it on an AK. If you want to get into the weird and wild world of AK cans, get something made for AK’s like the Wolverine. (I said Wolfman earlier, but that’s a 9mm can.) Flow-through cans are very nice, work great on regular AR’s, and almost certainly on the Jakl as well. Adapters make all these cans more flexible, but don’t push your luck too far. Plus, too many adapters will add up to the price of getting a suppressor that was designed for what you were trying to do in the first place.

I run the Omega 9K on mine. Its rated for subs and super rounds. Small and light weight.
