So with the acquisition of AAC, how long until we start seeing PSA suppressors?
Welcome @OleKennyRoy !! I have a message out and will let you know as soon as I get a response on what the plans that JJE Capital, who bought AAC, has with suppressors.
Josiah
I was told by JJE that AAC Suppressors are in the works and will be out this year.(2021)
Thank you!
Who warranty AAC and parts now or service?
Welcome @tuyenek9 We do not warranty any of the old AAC or Remington AAC product. We purchased only the intellectual property of AAC and will only warranty the new product that we manufacture.
Thank you.
Look forward to the new AAC/PSA stuff!
Will you make any repairs to AAC cans for a fee? People are needing their 51T latches repaired.
@JackRyanCIA Welcome to the form! Unfortunately we will not be making any repairs to the old AAC products.
OSS HELIX QD. 762
Waiting for my special day. 5 months in stamp jail lol. Anyone tried one of these on yet? Going to run it in on 2 ar platforms 5.56/300blk and perhaps my weatherby .270
After the amount of $ I have wrapped up into the mounts alone I sure hope she performs well. 2 mounts plus the tax stamp and I’m almost down 5 Benjamin’s before I even put the can on.
If anyone has any experience with one of these OSS/flow through cans let me know what you think. Also the same company, OSS, just released a couple pistol cans. Those seem cool.

@kp.latour OSS has a good reputation. I personally have not used them, but understand about mounts being expensive for the cans I own. You might want to check in with Hansohn Brothers, as they make many aftermarket silencer parts and are often cheaper than factory mounts. They too have a great reputation in the community.
Forgive my ignorance, but what “mounts” are you guys referring to. I’ve only seen threaded mounting of suppressors.
51 tooth mounts.
I’d fancy one in an A2 51t configuration. 1/2-28, 9/16, and 5/8…
I have an oss 762 in jail too. For my ak’s.
Look forward to what psa brings to the market
Will they be sold exclusively through psa. Or other outlets like SilencerShop
This is extremely disappointing to the many owners of AAC silencers like myself. I was really hoping you would continue to warranty these products.
Warranties on items they didn’t make or have input/anything to do with is and would be a disaster.
A “disaster” as in how? Making good on a product produced by an entity which is now owned by your umbrella corporation? There are a huge number of people who are really looking for PSA to step up and not leave them out in the dark, so to say
From what I’ve read they bought the intellectual property, not the actual company. AAC no longer exists… I’m not aware of a single situation where a bankrupt company was bought out and their product was covered by a completely new company that doesn’t make the old product.
I own two AAC suppressors. The company that made them is gone. My warranty died with the company.
PSA is a completely different company. PSA didn’t build the products I bought. They didn’t warranty the products I bought. AAC did, and that company no longer exists. That brand is as dead as Pontiac, Oldsmobile, or Saturn.
I don’t think it is fair to expect PSA to honor the warranty of another company. Especially a company they bought long after the company had already died, their tooling was sold, and their former employees were sent packing. There’s really nothing other than the intellectual property for them to buy at that point. There are no tangible assets. Just some patents. Very few companies take on the liabilities of a brand the bought after it was already dead.
Maybe if it were a merger, they bought a failing company that hadn’t died yet, or an “under new management” situation I’d agree, but unfortunately that’s not what happened in this case.
Think of when a local mall closes; all the tenents are out of luck and their leases are invalidated. When another property company buys the dead mall down the line, that company can’t be expected to honor the remaining lease contracts of those invalidated leasees. Similar situation.
Thread Necro….
Looky what I stumbled upon!
