I cannot thank PSA enough for supporting these causes. It pains me that 22 vets a day commit suicide.

i have a question. it seems lately that i have seen this move, in my opinion stupid move, saying the wrong thing to say to a vet is “thank you for your service”.
i dont know why but that hurts me. it sounds like a great thing to say to someone, you dont know, that you respect for becoming part of Americas protection and much more.
who is pushing this, and am i wrong to question them?
First I’ve heard of that. Seems wrong to me as well.
I think it the ones that have never served, had a loved one that’s served or handed a folded flag from a grateful nation at a funeral.
I tell every fellow vet that and do not give a rats a&& who is offended by it.
We all gave Uncle Sam a blank check payable up to and including our lives.
I truly do not get it.
