This year will be my fist year attending The Gathering. I’m coming from Michigan. I’ve been to other events and have had some good luck setting up or joining AirBnBs for a place to crash and save some money sharing that cost with others.
Anyone have something similar set up or interested?
im semi-local, so i dont need that sort of lodging, however i did just want to say, thats an excellent idea, and we look forward to finding out what you think of the gathering. its a ton of fun!
There is a Hampton Inn right there at the interstate, less than 2 miles from Clinton House.
Yeah, it’s sounding like that is going to end up being my plan. Not as fun as an airbnb but it’s just a place to crash anyway. I’m going to be coming in from work 3 hours away near greensboro and will be heading out some time Saturday to catch a flight back to Michigan so I just plan on sleeping anyway.
If we all do dinner Friday night you are welcome to join us.

It was 2 years ago at the pizza place. Last year was Brothers and Beer at Harbison.

so next year for the gathering we are looking at setting up a camper. Does anyone know of a location close to Clinton house? Or does Clinton house have camper spots for “boondocking”?
We just bought a camper Saturday. When I do the Georgia bushcraft gathering this fall, and blade show Atlanta next year we will be camping instead of AirBnB

I know you can camp for the Gathering at the Clinton House, maybe there’s hookups there for a camper?
