Wow. I’m not even a baseball fan and I remember that. That was cool. Cal still does a lot for kids at his stadium north of Baltimore.

At the end of World War II, the first U.S. troops entered the Korean peninsula south of the 38th parallel to receive the Japanese surrender; north of the parallel, Japanese troops surrendered to Soviet forces.
I liked the show.
The history of that parallel hardly ever gets mentioned.
I was 5 years old and begged my folks to let me stay up and watch it. Yeah, I was a trekkie before it was a thing. I even had a phaser, communicator and tricorder. My first EDC.

I made all 3 out of clay for a 3rd grade art project. Probably be suspended for such a thing in today’s world.

In an unprecedented, highly coordinated attack, terrorists hijack four U.S. passenger airliners, flying two into the World Trade Center towers in New York and one into the Pentagon, killing thousands. The fourth airliner, headed toward Washington likely to strike the White House or Capitol, is crashed just over 100 miles away in Pennsylvania after passengers storm the cockpit and overtake the hijackers.
