TLR 7 on dagger, which switch?

What budgetish light/Lazer do we like for DaggerS?
Thanks

Tlr7a is the perfect on the dagger compact. Should work with the S also. They come in high and low switch, i prefer the low. If you are unsure, you can buy the one that has both switches in the box.

I use the TLR1-HL on all my carry/duty-ish pistols. The size never bothers me even for appendix, and it has a lot of holster compatibility. Decent runtime, good range on it. The TLR7 is also really nice for the size of it. Had one on a P365XL and wouldn’t regret using one either.

The output and distance on that compact light hits way above it’s weight, and for digital switches, they are very responsive compared to some other brands… Always came on and off when I wanted, never had it stay on when I wanted momentary only, even with quick taps.

Agreed, TLR-7a looks best in my opinion

Thank you! Lurked for awhile. Figured I’d share my thoughts on the topic

Seems the dagger frames have the rail slot cut in different locations. Some people have TLR7a and the switch sits perfectly around the trigger frame. Some (like mine) sit a bit farther forward.

Seems your rail slot sits farther back than mine. Your light sits perfectly around your trigger guard whereas mine sits a littler further. Interesting. Same light.

Take a pic without the light.

You seem to have a newer version of the TLR7A. Possible that Streamlight did a slight revision on the clamp/lug placement, making it fit different.
I have two Daggers purchased a year apart and both my TLR1’s fit the exact same on both.
Also, make sure you’re using the correct clamp and lug thing, if that’s an option on the TLR7’s. All I know is the sub models can be swapped out to fit another proprietary compact rail, if you contact Streamlight to send it. They also had a fix for P365 rails that you could request from them.

Everyone else’s I’m seeing is the flat sided model, but even yours should come with the different rail pieces. Try the GL by default, and the 1913 if that doesn’t work or is loose.

I did try the different rail adapters and this was the one that pulled it closest to the trigger guard. It is a brand new light though so maybe there was a slight change. That or PSA put the rail slot slightly more forward to accommodate more types of lights. It still works just a good stretch to get to the switch with shooting hand. Easy reach for support thumb though.
