Just a suggestion. I think it would be worthwhile to incorporate a section on your homepage dedicated to “Coming soon” products. From there the end user could click on it, and see additional thumbnails for all the upcoming PSA products such as the X57, or Saber 11, and so on. Within each of these sections the customer can see in the timeline the current stage of production kind of like when you order a pizza from Domino’s you can see where it’s at. From being made, to being put in the oven, now cooling, and on. This way, we can see at what phase these products are in, and what the next phase should consist of, and if available a potential targeted release date or time frame. Additionally, within these categories you could incorporate discussions, and direct Q&A between customers who are trying to provide feedback to PSA. Not only could this have frequently asked questions already answered, but could also tidy up the discussion pages and be a little more transparent between PSA and it’s customers. Also customers could potentially sign up for notifications for the individual product of interest. Such as any updates, or simply request to be notified when a product releases.
@sean.psa runs the website. I like the idea, but as a guy who is deeply involved in computers, it can be as bad of a thing as it could be good. For example, PSA years ago wanted to get into the mp5 market. They eventually canceled and invested $100mil in an ammo plant instead. There are still folks who are mad about that, event though cheap import MP5s abound.
My point on this is that I see how that could be really good, but PSA may not go for it based on past experience (with people thinking a SHOT concept is going to be a full production model). Their current model of announcing via social media and YouTube seems to be working for them.
Ah I see. I was thinking it could be a way to organize better, and gauge the feedback on them individually right on their owe website.
