Which parts on the PSA AKs are MIM?

Does anyone know all the MIM parts PSA uses for their AKs? What about the AKV?

Im not sure i’ve ever seen any of that info published or discussed when it comes to the AK.

If it is any of the parts it would be the small ones. While i have not seen all of the PSA sister company machine shops, i have never seen a MIM machine or heard them talk about it. MIM gets a bad rep but iirc most gun makers use them to some amount and the tech is much better than it used to be.

Thanks. For me, no issues with MIM per se, but I do like to know what I’m getting, especially to help plan what parts I might want to ‘upgrade’ down the road.

I asked because the rear sight leaf on my PSAK-103 recently broke (training day), and I was surprised it was a MIM part–left me wondering what’s next. I’ve had a number of QC issues with this weapon (been back to PSA 2-3 times), so this latest issue is frustrating. I’ll probably just replace the sight leaf with a surplus one.

I like the way my 103 shoots, and my AKV may be one of my all time favorites. Wish I could be more confident, though…

How did it break?

It is my spouse’s weapon. We took an AK training course. We think the rifle hit a barricade while slinged during a drill. We only noticed it later when aiming.

I just ended up replacing the sight with a GGG peep sight.
