Will buying extra magazines alongside a firearm increase shipping costs?

Hi. There are a few gun mags I plan to buy alongside a gun I plan to buy in the future. I was wondering if I should wait to buy the mags to save on shipping costs, but i’m not sure if that is the best option if it increases shipping costs alone. What would you recommend?

I’d say yes to the extra shipping because the gun will ship to your FFL and the magazines will ship directly to your home.

Some guns offer free shipping, while others come in bundles that include 3–5 extra magazines.

You could check with your local gun shop to see if they have the magazines in stock — that way you might be able to save on shipping.

Shipping is based on weight. However, PSA also has a minimum shipping charge. You can always change your cart before you check out just to see.

I would expect that if you buy the magazines and gun simultaneously, they could just throw the mags in the box with the gun for little to no extra cost

It doesnt really work that way…

Unfortunately no. The firearm ships separately. I Have asked a few different companies and the answer is “such and such is drop shipped” or " it’s against our company policy". I do understand that after those boxes is packed and tapped up they are not cutting it back open. It would probably end up missing parts and incorrect orders. I always try looking for some place that has free shipping. Last one I put together , i got stripped lower and a barreled upper. Then went over to midway and ordered all the parts mags and all the fun stuff . Would have got all of it from psa but some things I wanted were out in stock and no free shipping deals going at that moment.
