No longer free shipping online guns to PSA store

Used to get free shipping on guns purchased on PSA online to the PSA store( both warehouse and store 10 miles from each other) but I was told by PSA. Com csr yes refund of shipping is still okay. I got to store to pick it up and was told they stopped. $18 to ship an item from warehouse to store 10 miles apart? The shipping charges within same company has stopped me from buying from them. I may as well just order from someone else and have it delivered closer to me at my FFL if I got to pay shipping and ordering from other places are normally cheaper at just $7 shipping and I don’t have to wait in the PSA store 2 hours to get someone to help me at the counter. Anyone else want to chime in if the free shipping within the PSA company and store has been discontinued?

Only store that i know of that does free shipping is Fernandina/Columbia.

IIRC the Greenville store used to but you had to remember to specifically ask for it at checkout. They will price match the online store but you have to ask for that as well.

actually they dont anymore. the last 2 that i had purchased they told me they no longer honor free shipping to the fernandina store either. said it was costing them too much time and money so yeah, we’re not getting free shipping here in columbia either sadly, and I do agree it sucks, especially since they have trucks going to deliver at fernandina anyways…

Too bad, really. It’s a tough call. That line item for shipping must have been a real doozy on the books, and it’s probably no comfort knowing that business will absolutely drop off if shipping is not included in price of the item. I was going to buy 4 dagger micro mags a few weeks back when it appeared on the website that shipping was free, but then the page refreshed and shipping added $10 to the price. Not a big deal, but I emptied the cart. I’ll wait until I happen on them locally, or at a gun show. Glock mags work just fine, and they’re cheap and plentiful.

With Blue Label pricing being what it is, and no similar programs from PSA, it’s hard to justify any purchases on the website - especially with the outrageously high shipping prices. I love PSA, and yet, unless something changes, my Dagger Micro will likely be my only purchase from the PSA website.

I dont believe this to be the reason. at fernandina they are usually soooo busy, i can see that having to keep the paperwork and then forward it to finance, where they’re also extremely busy, could be more trouble than its worth. PSA makes pleanty of money without having to depend upon the shipping charges. i konw that for a fact. Which is why i dont understand why they keep having shipping being charged all the time… although this whole month i think theyve been doing free shipping for firearms… or at least i knew they were last week.

understandable. we each must choose how to best spend our funds on what we are buying. i cant fault you for that anymore than i can fault me for not buying something from psa because of shipping… i too wait for free shipping deals, and other deals as well.

blue label is a deal, if you can get it. i’m not a party that can, and im not a member of gssf, so i dont even get the 1 a year… although i’ve considered joining for it… im just not that much of a glock buyer… now if it were a discount from springfield or kimber, well then 1911s hold my heart pistol wise… although the funny thing is i love carrying my G30s… it just fits just right… go figure… I carry my daggers from time to time, but that g30 is the cats meow to me until i have a dagger in .45acp.
i dont hedge myself in saying i’ll only buy this or that from psa… so if i were you, i simply ask that you keep an open mind on things, and if you find a good deal you like, go for it! this is what i do!

Midway used to do “spend $49 and free ship” to include bulk ammo. Now it’s spend $99 all the time on their site…excludes ammo. Dang the hard luck

It’s become more difficult.

My reason for purchasing a dagger frame at $44 is not to have to pay $9 shipping for each one to ship to Denver. That’s one fifth the cost of the product . When ordering three online, the cost is $27 for the frames that could go in one UPS/FEx bag for the same $9.

That eliminates the need to purchase the affordable Dagger online to ship to LKN.

Questions:

  1. Is there a way to know when the BLEM Frames are in stock at Denver?
  2. Since PSA already ships to Denver all the time, when will free shipping for store pickup be available?
  3. Is there a way to circumvent phone tree and actually call the Denver store? The folks in SC don’t know what is in stock in Denver.
  4. As a NC resident that works in SC, can I just purchase in SC?
  1. Blems are usually website only
  2. Denver has never had free ship to store and started without any ship to store due to storage restrictions
  3. The Denver store has its own Phone # but often it is hard to get through to any store.
  4. If you buy in SC i think you will have to have it shipped to NC due to federal law. @SuperPredator is our ffl guy on the forums

Long guns, yes.
Pistols and stripped receivers, no. You’ll need to have them shipped to an FFL in your home state.

Thank you to SuperP and Jammo.

So I can pickup the following without shipping to FFL. I am new to this.

Dagger Slide with Barrel
PSA Upper and any parts not stripped lower.

Reason for frugality. Fun game we are playing to see who can build the cheapest daggers and AR but still have quality.

We have to show reciepts. So traveling to Fernandina may be the option. We have to include FFL fees as well. You can cheat by driving to stores if you need to.

You are very welcome @dstone12

Yes you can pick up or have shipped those items. And also any others as long as it’s not a lower that is considered the (gun) because it has the serial number.

I like the game you guys are doing.
Myself and others in here have also done the same. It can be fun. Good luck and let us know if we can help you out.

I know this thread is a few days old but i wanted to chime in. I use to exclusively buy almost everything from PSA but the shipping is getting to be pricey. Ive actually had to empty my cart a few times because of the shipping. One thing i dont understand is ive shipped a good bit of stuff through UPS and most of the time they will say if it fits in there package or box it doesnt matter the weight. Im not sure where weight comes in to UPSs price point. I know ive shipped things that were more than 40 pounds with no difference in price using UPS packaging…the point im getting at is if your purchasing ammo i feel like the shipping price shouldn’t continue to rise for the weight. I think it started at 8.99 then when i got through adding the different calibers i was looking for it was over 20. Im not sure if it was coming in separate packages or separate stores. I just knew i wasnt going to pay that much for shipping. Honestly i would add things if there was say over 200 dollars get free shipping or something like that. I love PSA but some things are affected by the shipping prices. From what im reading in the other post i cant get free shipping to the columbia store anymore. Man… this economy today is affecting everything and everyone i guess. I’ll start planning on going by PSA in Columbia and hope its on sale when i get there

Shipping is getting crazy everywhere. I had to order a fixed spacer for a silencer. It arrrived yesterday. It is in a 1.5"x 3/4" x 3/4" factory package and weighs a few ounces. The box was 12" x12" x 6". Shipping cost $9.95.

The Greenville Store will price matchif you ask.

I can’t afford PSA shipping prices either.

If everything is equal and I can get free shipping elsewhere then that’s what I’ve been doing for a while now.

Especially when it comes to ammo.
Free shipping with $175 up from $125

Yeah, its definitely not just PSA and its not just shipping. Everything over the past couple of years has doubled or even tripled. If im honest, paying for shipping triggers me for some reason:rofl::rofl:. I can see something for $100 and get mad when its $5 shipping cost. My gf says its Amazon syndrome . At the end of the day I love PSA and their mission statement. I will continue to support them. I may have vented a little too much in my previous post. If so, sorry for that

Well then I have Amazon syndrome because I feel the same way.
Walmart has free delivery with orders over $35.
I think I pay a hundred bucks a year which I’m fine with because then it’s done.

count me in on the amazon syndrome too…
long have i thought psa’s shipping prices need revamped… i know its been a point of issue for over 10 years now for some guys. the usual example is the 9.00 per lower receiver. you buy 3 receivers, you should only have to pay shipping for the 1 in the box, as all three fit in the box easily. that said, i know there is reasons they do what they do. and i just dont know what those are. I will continue to shop at psa, both in store and online, but i will be much more careful at what i ship, cause the cost is what bothers me the most when its little things too…
