Shipping time questions

I’ve got a question for you ladies and gentlemen. For any of you that have recently ordered a firearm, about how long is the shipping taking right now? I know it’s always different, and I’m not expecting it to already be shipped, I just ordered Friday! But I’m one of those impatient people and was just wondering about how long it’s taking right now. Lol thanks!

I’ve ordered more than one the past few months and PSA has sent shipping notices the next business day. That being said, all that means is that a label was created and not picked up by the shipper. Also, what I ordered were CZ shotguns and they didn’t come from a PSA location (somewhere in Louisiana) unless PSA has something down there that I’m not aware of. So I would say it depends on what your order from them. In flight time has been 2-3 days from LA to VA.

The worse part for me is when I know they were delivered to the FFL and they take a few days to call you, especially over a weekend. That drives me crazy but I understand why.

Okay nice, last time I ordered from PSA was prolly 6 months ago I got a PSA Ar-9 and it was fairly prompt. I had the same thing with my FFL also, it arrived and took a couple days for them to call! Ordered a dagger and an ar complete lower and like I said. I’m super impatient lol

It depends on our current order volume. We say up to 7-10 business days, especially coming into the holidays (holiday times are sometimes longer). I’ve seen shipments go out the same day when business is a little slower. We work hard to try and get products shipped out as fast as we can though, so hopefully you’ll get the notice soon.

Ordered an upper and lower parts kit recently, took about a day or 2 to pick up, shipped to my house in 2 days, both orders. I havent had a bad shipping delay with them yet

for me the shipping has been really good, just strange. on my last MEME lower my FFL called me to say he had it and I had not received the real shipping notice from UPS. I do not count the label has been created notice as it has been up to 3 days from label created to when it was actually shipped. this includes thing sent to my house.

MidwayUSA is famous for the shipping notice when a label is created as well. I’ve gotten that notice within an hour on a weekend after placing an order and it’s not picked up until Mon/Tue. It is what it is. Better than it used to take and better than OpticsPlanet ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!!! I refuse to buy from them anymore.

OP has been hit or miss for me. Had a couple ship same or next day, most 2-3 days, and I think only one egregious “in stock” order took a week plus.

I’m less likely to use them because they can’t sell magazines over 10 rounds and their HEY THERE’S GUN STUFF IN THIS BOX packaging.

I’ve had awesome shipping from OP for a decent amount of orders until one in placed last week, its taking forever lol and worst thing is it ships less than a 100mi in state…think im done after this one.
*I’m also being impatient for a rear sight on a rifle I just built

started getting these emails lately. Is this something new or am I just noticing it?

It’s something new. I set it up about a week and a half ago.

There is one small bug I am sorting out currently - If you order multiple items, there is a possibility that we will split the shipment up to get stuff out quicker. In doing this you will receive an email saying the whole order has shipped or has been delivered when it may be missing an item. In this situation you’ll get another shipping notification for the item that shipped separately. Ultimately, the goal is to have the emails reflect exactly what ships, when it ships.

Our goal is to better inform customers of their orders and shipments so this should be a step in the right direction.

Thanks. I like that email. The one nit I have is when checking the tracking info from the order page - when clicking the tracking number it opens a popup window and you still need to click another link to go to UPS. That doesn’t work when the item is shipped FedEx (my past few orders of CZ shotguns went FedEx from Shreveport, LA) - just says custom carrier with no link. Again, not a big deal, just a nit of mine :slight_smile:

First order with PSA. On the fence at the moment. Got an email on 12/23 “YOUR ORDER HAS SHIPPED!” Since then, a label has been created. Nothing further. No updates on status or notifications of problems or back orders, etc. PSA says they ship within a certain amount of time but saying it’s shipped and actually shipping are two different things. And this was for an “in stock” item. We’ll see. The jury is out.

You both should reach out to our Customer Service Department. With all of the shipments we’ve had over the past couple weeks, its inevitable that some get lost, which is what this sounds like. Give them a call/chat and see what they can do for you.

Spoke to your customer service rep. Pleasant young lady who could probably use a few colleagues. I was on hold an hour. But the answer was, the order is in the hands of UPS (biggest parcel company ever) and if nothing changes by the 13th, to call back and wait on hold another hour for a refund or rebuild.
