Slow Shipping

In the past when I would order with PSA… processing times were kind of split between Firearms, and Non-Firearms shipping times. If I ordered an Optic, Ammo, maybe a part of accessory it would generally ship in 3-5 days. When I ordered a Firearm, it would ship faster. I had an order which I placed on the morning of 7/10 and it still shows “processing” and I just wonder when that might leave the nest.

Its only been 2 business days so you are still within the shipping window.

Not PSA related. On June 27 l ordered a roll of 3M 100 grit 6" sandpaper 100 cnt. Shipped from Henderson NV the 28th. Went all the way to Philadelphia PA instead Memphis way (usually). From July 3 to 15th no updates. It is now in Nashville TN and maybe l will finally get it in a few more daze. USPS

Finally came Saturday damaged

At a time when most competitors ship the same day even on a weekend (i.e. MidwayUSA), why should we continue to order from PSA? I can understand that they may be dealing with a large volume of orders but so are the others. They need to invest in shipping infrastructure and personnel, it’s that simple.

I have never had a Midway order ship same day. PSA has thousands of orders a day and ships 7 full UPS tractor trailers every day.

@OviV

Maybe it’s UPS that needs to step up.
Have you thought about it that way?

** Also UPS is the only game in town

Purchase date was 7/10, delivered on 7/24.

UPS would not have anything to do with when the item is prepped for shipping and actually shipped. This is PSA’s processing of orders that is at fault.

Here are my last MidwayUSA order:

As you can see it shipped the same day. Most of my orders ship the same day from them.

Shipped means “label created”…doesn’t actually mean shipped. That goes for every single retailer out there. With PSA, the volume they send UPS often causes UPS to sit the trailer for a day waiting to scan the item in. That isn’t on PSA, but on UPS.

I am well aware of how shipping works. When an order sits for days in Processing status, that is PSA not UPS.

So you came here and created an account just to gripe about shipping? Did you check with customer service? Customer service is not on the forum and will not see your rant.

And yes, it could be UPS. A label is printed, item loaded on a truck and it sits at PSA until UPS picks it up again. Then it needs to be unloaded and processed at UPS.

Incorrect. The backup is UPS, not PSA. I’ve personally seen it.

Orders can sit on a UPS truck after the label is created by PSA.

Contact PSA customer service or we will be happy to try and help you here.

If you guys are happy with placing an order, having the money drawn from your account, and then having it sit in “Processing” for 15 days, more power to you. I am not so I am expressing my displeasure. Customer service is inaccessible so that is not an option. I did not realize that there were so many fan boys here that can not admit that there is a problem with their shipping process. All good.

When you say 15 days, do you mean 15 days or 15 business days? PSA has a very upfront shipping policy in that they use business days.

All standard shipments are FOB our warehouse.
Typically, you can expect your order to ship within 5-7 business days. During the holiday and peak seasons shipping times will vary due to the high order volume. We do work very hard to get your order out to you, and apologize if there is a delay with it. Let our Customer Service Department know if your order has passed the above ship time, and they will have your order sent to our Shipping Department to investigate the reason for the delay.
Please note that upper receivers may take up to 15 business days to ship out. Serialized items (rifles, pistols, lower receivers, etc.) may take up to 7-10 business day to ship out. Please verify that PSA has a copy of the FFL from your dealer.

USPS sux.

I ordered a pistol on a Saturday and it was in my hand 4 days later, that Wednesday. I’m not in the same state as PSA but a neighboring state. My order read processing the whole time until the morning it was delivered. All of these updates were through UPS.

On the other side though, I have had orders shipped from Midway on a Saturday, sometimes same day. It then took two weeks to make it to my door. Could they have said it “shipped” when it was actually processing? Maybe, I have no idea.

Logically speaking, I would say depending on where you are in the country would make the difference in all of these shipping times.

Fact is, everybody is all over the place…….the stores and shipping industry. I’ve had psa stuff arrive in 2 days…….and up to 2 weeks non-serialised. Same with primary arms, Brownells, Midway, etc. Experiences with both fast and drawn out either shipping label printed etc. or once received by shippers stuff just sat.
