My PSA experience on buying stuff has been crap lately. I hope they get it turned around.
My order shows “processing” as seen on this pic. I call the customer support and I get the generic 15 day blah blah. This is fine I ordered it five days ago. BUT the moment you cancel like I did, all of a sudden it has been shipped amd now I will get charged and wont get my full money back. This is Crap, I buy from guns.com and I get it in two days, If gladly pay 25 for that. I liked PSA amd have pretty much filled the safe in the last 6 months. But this is it man, turn it around. I have also bought at the storefront, they will price match but you will end up with the floor model, which I dont mind up front, but if you dont tell me and I get it home amd take it apart and the inside shows wear from all the “can I see that” racking and dry fire its BS.
Ammo, they claim to price match but check your receipt before you go out the door, this has also happened a dew times specially on bulk ammo.
Its a long rant I know, Im all for buying local but this is BS
Just to put this in perspective…PSA shows their shipping policy and it is common knowledge they send UPS 7 tractor trailer loads a day. So there are literally thousands of happy customers.
Depending on what you order, things could take more time, especially if it is a compliance issue. I dont know what you ordered, but i have had items from Primary Arms take 2 weeks before, and they tend to be the gold standard with shipping. I have seen them print a label within 30min of an order placed.
sorry to hear this. i wonder what i do differently than others, as i never have any issues purchasing from them at all… which is not good for my wallet.
your five days ago ordering, i hope youre counting only business days, and not including weekend days or holidays such as the recent presidents day.
why did you cancel? i’ve never had the inclination to, so i am genuinely asking why did you do this? and no wonder theres issues if you did… we have all known that psa shipping takes a bit of time usually, but in the recent past, they’ve made many gains on it being faster, except when there are major sales going on, like a black friday or something. Part of how PSA makes things so cheap for everyone im sure is that they only deal with one form of shipping and their shipping prices are fixed, weather or not we like them. (thats another discussion entirely) if you’ve filled the safe with psa in the past 6 months, how were you surprised with the time it was taking to ship th is time?
buying at the store and ending up with the floor model on a rifle is fairly standard unless they had tons of things stacked in the gun room of the same models, not many places can stack that much product just to hold while selling it… one its expensive, and two it takes up a lot of space.
idk man… some of this sounds off to me. and i am not trying to pick on ya or anything jim… im just saying you sure you didnt just have a bad day or were in a bad mood or soemthing?
I know about the restocking fee this isn’t the first time I cancelled an order. That’s why I checked first to see if its shipped, same reason I called for info but again once I cancel, they are saying it has shipped. This is what it looks like now, still says processing, not shipped.
LoL I dont want to get fired, I just want the same experience u guys get when u buy, the last few months have been bleh, i buy and pick up more than i prolly should.
I order and sometimes it takes 2 weeks. I have my serialized stuff sent to the store, so no tracking via PSA trucks, have to wait 2 days for them to log the stuff in the system, and then go get it. It is faster for me to use a local FFL and pay a transfer fee. But I know when I order from PSA its going to take a few days.
It’s hit or miss with processing times, usually it’s 3 days then shipped. But sometimes it can be much longer especially if items are being dropped shipped from different suppliers. I’ve ordered firearms from many different company’s over the years and it usually about a 7 to 10 days from order to FFL. Lately I’ve been on a PSA purchase run as I really like their products and what they do creating all these great options for us.
well speaking personally for me if you want the same experience and service that i get when i buy then you need to go ahead and buy what you want, and then forget when you bought it… and then in the following week or two you get a call from your FFL, or the parts show up on your front porch, and you’re suprised and delighted… Thats how i do it.
seriously.
now when i order something that is needing an FFL, since I’m local it goes to PSA themselves at their columbia store. They used to refund shipping for us, but they dont do that anymore. when it gets to the store is anyones guess, as we dont always get a email or a phone call stating that our product has arrived for pickup… in fact its more that we dont get notified than it is that we do… so I just randomly pop in the store from time to time, ask then about my order and if its there great, if not, great, i look around for other things to buy each time im in store, and i like to shoot the crud with the employees that I know and that are there and have been there for some time. its like a family almost when you get to know the folks manning the store, so we talk abou our ikids or houses or cars or the news or new guns or whatever. so theres my whole experinece… if you still want to have it, you know what to do.
Honestly, if the interest is really there, PSA could open a combination range/store in far west Miami-Dade County. There’s still undeveloped land. It would definitely be a destination type location, but I can guarantee it would be packed to the gills every second it was open.
Either that or across the alley to Collier or Lee counties.
