I found this interview to not only confirm things that were said about the X5.7 but also to make some statements that re-assure folks about the firearm, how its made, etc… when we can expect it, etc…
Plus theres a little more information on what the Aberdeen Project is for you curious minded folks.
My best advice is to continue to tag or mention me when they make update videos. Otherwise just like with the Rock, I’ll have to find a way to purchase one myself and have months behind the big guys I’m certainly not as marketable as ANY of the big influencers, but it’s not like I don’t also provide them with feedback and sometimes viable data for product development.
@sean.psa is there anyone we could put buffman in contact with about getting an x5.7 for him to review?
My 5.7 purchases live and die by his approval, and his testing is THE REASON why PSA has gotten thousands of my dollars in AAC ammo purchases, not to mention several Rocks and plenty of parts.
I have Jamin and Josiah’s # on speed dial. I guess I should just push them harder when they get closer to launch. It’s kind of a humility thing so to speak. I feel vendors value me more when they reach out to me to review/test something, vs me bugging them end over end to send out product. If that makes sense?
I think there’s value in them hearing from folks like me who are REALLY into 5.7 (I’ve owned every available 5.7 firearm except the dissent and excel arms) who depend on your insights and testing to decide what they invest in.
i get what your saying. however you gotta really realize how busy the two men you just mentioned are, and while they may not reach out to you it may not be because of them trying to ignore you but rather just not on their mind due to all the other things they are dealing with. I personally would reach out to josiah if i were you via email when it gets closer about it… but i would not bother Jamin with it, unless it were a very important issue or emergency… Just my thoughts on it.
oh there is, and both are very well plugged into the gun scene and know its pulse very well, including the part about being very into 5.7. You definately are more into it than I am, and I’ve been into it since 08ish… of course i’ve only had my green 57 from FN, adn then my ps90 which i got much later. you said you’ve owned… past tense… why did you get rid of some of them? liek the ruger and the s&w pistols for instance im assumig you got rid of them too… or maybe not. idk. i ask though cause i want to add those two to the collection eventually.
I have one of the s&w’s although between the apparent suppressor mounting issues, pita magazines, and loss of velocity it’s not my favorite (also not as ergonomic as the rock).
I’ve owned and sold 3 ruger 5.7’s, I’ve had them bone stock and tricked out, and no matter what, the trigger sucks and the quality just isn’t as good as the other pistols out there that I’ve owned. I was so into my first ruger 5.7 that I was one of the first people with a threaded barrel, because I went and got it done custom months before ruger made them available.
I probably had sunk about 1100 dollars into that first ruger 5.7 I had. I absolutely trust my rock over it 100%. I even carry my rock over my FN Five-seveN mark 2.
my old 5.7 is not a mark2 but ive thought about picking up a mark2 simply cause i dont have one yet. that is sad to hear about the rugers and the S&W’s… but at the same time im really glad and happy to hear about how much better the ROCK is over them. perhaps i should not buy either of them, and just buy more rocks. idk. what i’ll do now, but who knows the new 5.7 carbine from Ruger looks good though… i hope its better than their pistol.
i watched a review of the LC45 and the dude said it was much like the LC5.7x28… which from what youve told me makes me a little sad cause of weight and trigger being wonky. specially since theyre not like 400.00 lol
I’ve been waiting forever for this build to come and I figured it would be PSA that could get it done! Thank you PSA I cant wait for the release date… Just hurry up and take my money!!!
