I’ve had this old soldier for a number of years and only shoot it occasionally with light handloads. It came with a spare .45 caliber muzzle loading barrel and hammer.

wow… i’ve never shot anything like that… i bet its amazing feeling shooting something that old… i’ve never shot anything flint lock, percussion cap etc… all the stuff ive fired is the newer centerfire style rifles. and pistols.

I’ve got a Thompson Center .50 caliber Hawken muzzleloader I haven’t shot in years. Way back when I did shoot it, when I was through I would take the barrel off and take it in the shower with me and give it and me a good scrubbing.
