2022 Running/Walking ongoing thread

I’ve lost so much weight when I relieve myself I can see my junk again! It’s a weight-loss miracle!!!   :grinning:

(it will be a bigger miracle if I can get to the point where I no longer have to take any T2DM meds or BP medication as in put these in remission. Don’t know if that’s possible but that’s the goal)

I make it a policy to never weigh myself, so I can’t say whether I have lost even one ounce. All I know is I feel better and I will get back to where I was a few years ago.

The only time I get weighed is at the doctor’s office. Screw the scale. It’s not how much you weigh…it’s how fit (or fat) you are.

Only 8 miles behind pace…

In the middle of a serious slow down if not stop as I begin a new job while doing training three hours from home in a company paid for hotel with a nice fitness center “temporarily closed” due to a marxist mayor.

Feel free to keep me motivated when I will have the time and resources to get back at it in a week and a half

My goal is to just start running like I used to again. I let myself get out of shape in college and grad school while before I regularly ran multiple times per week including 5 mile runs about every other week. It’s both to get back in and stay in shape for the police academy and to get back in the ring. I’ve been in the gym the last couple of months and getting my nutrition back in check for awhile now so the next step is road work.

Rick, go for the Mike Rowe hotel workout. Burpees for days.

Bagged concrete ain’t easy!

I started going for walks. I push my wheelchair, walker-style. About 10 minutes total, outside. I’ve been pacing inside for a long time, throughout the day. I wanted to be at a certain level to do that; if I fall and have to wait on paramedics, at least I’ll be indoors. (I fell out of my chair in the middle of the parking lot once. NOT ideal.)

Been on a break the last 2 days. Had some kind of thing happening. “Might go to ER” thing. Seems to be passing, so I’ll be strolling again tomorrow.

So that’s what they’re doing up above me in 416 :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I’ve been sick and injured for the past two weeks but I’m starting to come around. I got back into lifting weights last week and this week, I’m starting to add my running to it again.

Last week M-F: Weights

This week so far: 5 miles on Monday, weights today followed by an easy three miles (with a fast finish since I can’t ever finish slow. ). Keep up the good work folks!

I’d say that definitely counts.

One day a week is reserved for either “recovery” (no walking) or “easy walk”. We tend to do the easy walk as the dog expects nay DEMANDS to go for a walk.
