.22lr Rock

5.7x28 is so expensive.

Everyone loves shooting their Rock.

How does a .22lr Rock sound? Yea? Nay?

Would you buy one?

22lr? Doubtful. Magnum? Maybe.

For me it’s a “would not.”

I have lots of .22LR handgun. The appeal of the ROCK is it’s 5.7

Peace favor your sword,

If there was a conversion kit maybe. I really enjoy using a .22lr conversion in an AR-15. It’d probably be similar with the Rock.

That would be nice. Although I have no idea what .22 magnum costs these days? Or how available it is either? That would take advantage of the grip and magazine size.

The best thing would be .10 cents a round for 5.7 ammo

Can ya even get a primer anymore for 10 cents?

+1 would also love that

I’d be interested in a conversion kit, 22 lr would be cheaper by far, 22 wmr is about 16 a box where I am.

Wouldn’t be upset about either though.

maybe a conversion kit, but otherwise i’d rather see a .22 dagger than the rock. like some one had said earlier, the whole appeal of the rock is that it is 5.7x28. now a compact Rock, count me in, or a Jakl Rock, hellO yah, count me in!

IMO an interesting comparison, like comparing vintage Pinto to Corvette. I love my cut Rock with optics. I also love my Taurus TX but wish they had an optics cut slide. Best priced, handling, functioning, lightest, and high capacity autolader 22LR I’ve ever ownd. But thats me.

Maybe a .22LR Rock Compact but thinking the full Rock is too
big and heavy. Semi pistol 22LR is very desirable if you have women
and children interested in learning the sport for sure but way more
in that …super light and compact I’ll often carry it out in the forest
hardly even know it’s there with a simple clip-on belt holster. I often
use it because of the quick/easy nature and it really bangs out the
CCI MiniMag rounds without fail. Trust me no one would walk into
your line of .22LR fire once you light it up and the report and fireball
are impressive…accuracy for me is good but limited to inside the house
type distances…If you knowingly went into a fire fight I’d grab the
5.7 sure but the .22 M&P is no slouch in a pinch either, I’d consider adding
a PSA .22 once offered and vetted.

Smith & Wesson

Lakeline LLC sales a slide that looks close to the OEM Taurus tx22 slide, that is optics ready it’s an RMSC footprint. It also use Glock sights but you would need to take your factory breech block, extractor, extractor spring and plunger, striker assembly, and slide plate need to be moved over to the new slide.

.22LR is interesting, I’ve listened to most of this guy’s video’s over
the years (GunBlue490) here he goes into length with his take on the
.22 subject…

I’m pretty sure I’ve heard they will be making a .22LR Rock just no ETA.

In theory. I would likely never buy one. But I would consider it if I could afford it.

IMO this gun is so much like the Rock it can be no coincidence. I recently purchased the full size TX22 and absolutely love it. We put 400 rounds of CCI through it without a single hiccup.
I do not know what the story is but since the TX22 came first, the Rock must have been spawned from it. The grip feels nearly identical, takedown actuator is same but the takedown process is slightly different. The physical trigger is different but has the same feel as the Rocks. The striker release mechanism is nearly identical. The Rock has undeniable Taurus roots IMO. Taurus makes it for PSA or PSA has licensed it from Taurus or maybe Taurus is part of PSA now , who knows but it is a good thing. I absolutely love both of the guns.

Or someone could have left Taurus and went to work for PSA

I remember reading awhile back a former employee from Taurus helped with making the Dagger not surprised the Rock resembles the TX22.
