2nd Range Report - Dagger

What a difference a trip to the manufacturer makes.

So, I posted earlier about my experience with PSA’s customer service (superior rating, incidentally…) and got my Dagger back to the range.

I fed 200 rounds of Remington 9mm 115-gr. Range Ammo through my newly-repaired Dagger. Zero mag drops, zero FTFs, zero FTE’s. Every loaded mag was met with a nice, satisfying spong noise.

After about 100 rounds, it went like this…

Me: hey, you getting tired yet?

The Dagger: Nah. Now, shut up and open that second box.

Seriously, it didn’t even break a sweat. It was load five, string, load five, string…HOLY @$&!…load five, string…

The Swenson barrel is the weak point, guys. Avoid them, they’re cheap for a reason. I’ve bought the PSA-branded threaded barrel and recoil spring. It has a better twist rate and is reasonably priced. That will be my next range report.

A guy next to me was running a P365, the one with the weird recessed sights? Great gun in its own right. But, he saw my groups and asked, “Can I try it?” I said absolutely, loaded five and let him go. He saw his groups with the Sig and his group with the Dagger and said, “that’s it, I’m getting a red dot”.

If it can do 500 rounds with no incidents, I have no problem trusting my life with it.

This is me sighting it in at 10 meters. Ignore the #1 target, that was my piece of crap S&W Sigma. You can see how my dialing in progresses. Also ignore the bottom row. That was me shooting my wife’s Walther PK380.

Then I decided to stretch it out to 25m.

This is what I got.
